Leaks

I find that as I become older , and wish to continue , I need help .Suspect that one of the reasons that I am here .

My problem is this .I leak usually after a little bit and get much worse , but , a real mess and takes away from what is going on .

Would a tube help ? Retention nozzle ? Double balloon ? butt plug nozzle ?

Iam asking for help as others may have the same problem and found a solution for it .

One trick I have used is to insert a Tampax. Put it in with just a little vaseline on the tip, before you add water. Then push the noz slowly up past it on one side of it, and then add just a little water to swell the Tampex. Then tug gently on the string to completely seat the Tampax. Now you can fill up!

If you decide to follow Azdiane's suggestion; then you may want to use a junior or light day tampon. Larger tampons may swell to a size that would require you to go to the hospital to have it removed. That would be very embarassing.

I've been using "super-plus" for years, and I'm not unusually large down there. Just tug steadily on the string while pushing out... the water keeps the tampon soft and help push it out. Truly, I've never had a problem with it.

Regarsing LEAKS I wish to thank azdiane and tbearent for there help and advise .

At first ,YEA RIGHT ,thought some said why not .Went and bought a package of tampons .If I don't use then one of my granddaughters get them .

I am going to keep for my self .

Oh yes was super size .Took some doing to figure how ,but did .

Leakage problem comes and goes with me. Some times the high volumes or higher pressure (bag higher than normal) is the cause of my leakages. The basic enema nozzle will leak every time and I have not used one in 35 years. Try the douche nozzle or the green one that Rojo sells. That should help out.

Leakage at one time was a chronic problem for a variety of the basic causes such as the Bag being too high or solution being the wrong temperature etc. I changed to the 1/4 inch tubing as opposed to the traditional 5/16 inch and the problem has virtually been eliminated.

You may also wish too use a colon tube. By being flexible it exerts less leverage at the entrance to the anus.

A colon tube, when inserted at least 20" is really beneficial in decreasing the immediate urgency to expel. I have found that having fluid slowly going in while inserting the tube aids in lubrication and eases the insertion. Do not force the tube and it is best to insert your own tube. You will feel if the tube is going alright. You can also tell if the tube kinks. Above all else, you should have no pain. If you do, back the tube up and try again. There are days when you'll get all of the tube in you and other days when only six inches will go in. Just go with the flow. 😉

I use a 9/16 gum rubber homemade colon tube with no leakage problems.I believe the anus muscles are the problem and here's why.For years I had a difficult time holding a large soapy solution,I even purchased a double balloon rectal catheter to help but it did not help very much,I tried a hard rubber one inch and one and a half inch nozzles without success.I went back to using the gum rubber colon tubes.Over time and hundreds of enemas later,my anus muscles became strong enough to hold almost any amount,no matter how high the container is or how soapy the solution is.The bottom line is the anus muscles need to be trained and strengthened to hold almost any amount of solution.This can only be done with practice over time and many enemas.That's the fun part.Let the good times flow w/m72yrs/Western Ma

Simple answer for a more complex issue. >😢 The transition from nozzle to plug is were the leakage will develop the greatest. It seams like high volume enema experience would tell you that. Without a double balloon type nozzle with 50+ years at this, if are going to leak, you will leak. If today is your day to leak that is part of it. :'(

I agree with twobagger; exercising the anal muscles will help. It is not an overnight solution, but with time it will strengthen the muscles and reduce or eliminate leakages. And these exercises are very easy to do, almost anywhere and at any time. Just clench your anus repeatedly. In my opinion, they even feel good! 😉

I find that if I start with to large of an enema I have a difficult time holding so start smaller and I also like to use retention tips the type used for barium enemas there are lots of sites to purchase these try enemabag.com or bethtyler hope this is of help for you

Leaking can be caused by several things including high of the bag, solution temperature, rate of flow etc. One thing I believe that is overlooked is the fact that the traditional 3/8in tubing can be too wide for a lot of people. I found that by changing to 1/4in tubing made a big difference in my own leaking problems. Not all sites carry this size. I know that Rojo-enterprises does. Hope this helps.
