Esteemed Colleagues and Valued Patients
As I graze through the fields of medical playland ideas burst forth as spring flowers (if spring shall ever descend). I present the following list of ideas for devotees of our group. These are just ideas - seeds that need sowing and cultivating - some might bear fruit, others may not, but for your rumination how about?
1. Could someone with a long history in the field of medical fetish write a definitive history i.e. when did Onelist.com have its first med group, what happened to Yahoo (user generated) chat rooms, Bianca's Smut Shack (I always loved that title) when did Freegyno.com come on the scene. I'd start by posting here and interviewing everyone who goes back a while. It sure would make interesting reading.
2. Xaminer the distinguished member of this group and skilled practitioner published long ago a massive list of just what chatrooms were available at the time - I'd like to see an updated list. All I know of is UKGYN, Erotic Clinic, Chatropolis.com (2 rooms of weirds) and Cindia's, Paltalk also a couple heart sites. Are there more we should know about?
3. Anyone have any experience with Facebook or MySpace
4. Second Life is there any activity - what's needed to function in that world?
5. Statistical analysis - it would be interesting to look at the natural history of medfet groups - their rise, their "hay day" and their fall . Likewise analysis of data from here - look for example at number of enema devotees compared to med fet. Look to the Personals and the sex ratio's say page by page. Interesting interesting...Image foragers - how do you feel about them
6. Novel experiments - descriptions of such things as the diving reflex for heart enthusiasts, ways of reaching orgasm by non-genital stimuli. Effects of looking at medical images on the heart and respiratory rates
7. Teleconferences in which a couple demonstrate various procedures using one of the video chats as others watch and comment
8. A core scientific group not those who just want to forage pictures, chat, or read, or post comments, but people with cam and mic and not afraid to tell it all and show it all. Scientific exams both given and received, not just below the clavicles. People with instruments and images. People who have an admiration for the nude (not naked - there is a difference) . I think Skype (if it works consistently) would be an ideal venue it has clear sound, excellent video and allows multiparty chats. Are there maybe 10 of us out of 2200 plus that have such an interest. But no lurkers or those not willing to hold to the core values. It could be "ad hoc" popping up at members discretion.
9. How about a chat thread on whatever happened to? Where are some of the old players DrSteth, Alex Gracier, Persi - gosh remember all the effort she put into medical fetish.
10. Chat on how do we get these folks who post their required membership activity to stick around or how to get people to give us more background. I know our administrators bend over backwards to get us to fill in our interests etc. Would it be physically possible rather than make people post x number of responses to gain membership, rather to require filling out profiles. It's done in magazine subscriptions on the web - you can't get off the page unless you fill in the box. Just a thought.
11. On-line courses where we could meet as a group and study various aspects - perhaps a short course on surface anatomy of the human body - all that's needed is a washable marking pen, or how to use a stethoscope, or neuro exams a paper clip, a puff of cotton and a heavy butter knife, examination of the breast. Again we could announce a time and place - come if you can.
12. Surgical Subgroups - These fine folks get such rough shod treatment, small in number, there are considerable barriers beyond finding a critical mass of people. Unlike other procedures these require assembling teams - you need an anesthesiologist, a circulating nurse, a first assistant, perfusion technologists (if a transplant) monitor sounds Yikes any systems analysts around
13. Grand Rounds in the old days consisted of a patient brought to the amphitheater, an attending sits on the side, a 3rd year resident presents the patient, students are called down. medical history and physical performed, another student called down - interaction back and forth. Attending acts as wise father figure. Well that's how it was? Today its simply Dr Big from Big University comes and delivers a boring talk. Would anyone be interested in such a group? I would! LOL
14. Pathological Conference - Same as above but with group members who are willing to share their medical concerns with us. I would - I have beginning CHF.
15 AND FINALLY - AT TO THIS LIST WITH YOUR COMMENTS SO WE MIGHT HASH THINGS OUT AND COME UP WITH SOME WAYS TO ENHANCE OUR LOVE
