I've considered some of the over-the-counter laxatives, but in reading the labels I noticed that many of them state to expect results in 6 to 8 hours.
Don't want to wait that long! That would be twice as long as the enemas I've been doing. Besides, I'm sure a laxative wouldn't leave one 'squeaky clean either, meaning that a enema rinse would probably still be necessary, which is like starting from the beginning. Inserting a large amount of water, and waiting for all of to come out again.
Tried the colon tube but couldn't manage to get it in. It kept folding back on me and then coming back out.
Have tried glycerin suppositories before, never did much for me but clean out just the lower rectum area. And often seeing them come out pretty much the same size as they were when I put them in. Aren't these supposed to melt or dissolve once inserted?
Read here in the past about different solutions that might speed the process up a bit more. Glycerin was one of those... Did pick some up at the pharmacy the last time I was up there. But don't know how much to use, say in a two quart bag. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also heard of using baking soda and salt solution. Did try that the last time I did an enema, and seemed to be a bit quicker, so will try that again the next time, just to see if it really works, or was just a fluke.
