A Serious Divide?

As a newcomer to the community, and to med-fet in general, I've noticed what seems to be a pretty sharp divide between people who enjoy scenarios where the doctor must be completely professional and ethical at all times, and those, like myself, who enjoy more kink.

Is the gap as sharp as it appears to me? Do some people switch back and forth or start on one side of the fence and then wiggle through hole that's been cut in the chain-link?

I have to admit, I don't go for the ultra-professional approach to medfet. I got enough of that at work. I like the kinky side of it.

There is a third alternative which falls between an apparently professional approach and the pure kink that lia_chan describes. It's an approach which has never failed me in over 20 years, long before internet days.

I split the consultation into 4 distinct parts. In the first three the content might vary slightly but the ethos is not to be varied at all.

Part 1 is a discussion on the Medical History Questionnaire and some fact finding about why the patient has presented. This gives an opportunity for the patient to start to relax and that phase would end with taking and recording blood pressure.

Part 2, the Examination, will last upwards of an hour. It will mimic as far as possible the sort of top to toe check you might get when registering with a new medical practice but can be extended to gynaecological or genital areas if agreed. The examination will be non-sexualised. Any arousal noted (and its frequent) will not be commented upon nor further arousal deliberately sought.

Part 3, the Resting phase, will be an opportunity for the Doctor to comment on his findings and a patient will be encouraged to ask questions, maybe about what further 'treatment' the Doctor can offer or prescribe. This can then lead nicely into the next phase which is:-

Part 4, Treatment. At this point the Doctor's professional persona will drop away and Doctor's alter ego, his 'other half', will take over as 'Karl the Sex Therapist'. Little other explanation is needed of this save to say that the experience normally lasts a further 3 or 4 hours!

I believe that a consultation structured in this way will satisfy all types of need, will lead to a patient arriving at the consultation in an 'anticipatory' mood and will result in a really nice experience for both parties.

I think that women on sites such as this who are excited by the ultra-professional approach in a clinical setting possibly never have play exams. The realism they crave would be difficult to replicate in a play situation, and they probably get their kink in their head.

Personally I regularly find in a play situation that the woman is already sexually aroused on arrival, and this increases leading inevitably to orgasm or similar physical pleasure.

Well, it really depends on what gets you off. To some the sexy outfits or lack thereof, the stimulation and the dirty talk gets their juices running. To others the feeling of vulnerability, loss of control or wielding the power gets them off. And this is true to all genders, not only to women. Anyway, to answer the question raised in this specific thread, for me and the beau, the kind of play we do depends on our mood. We try as much as possible to be realistic since 80% of what gets us off is the mindfuck, the powerplay. So there are times that we just do the play exam sans the physical sexual stimulation, but that doesn't mean we don't get aroused, the mind can be a huge aphrodisiac, you know.

There are also times when we play to satisfy our sexual urges, hence the physical stimulation, although we still connect what we do to medically related stuff to enhance realism, for example "getting a semen sample as in a fertility clinic", etc.

One more thing, with us, we started out with the realistic stuff, I mean it all started out with taking my temp rectally. Then as time went by, more kink has grown with it, now we have scenarios and do things based on our mood and level of "tension".

I appreciate the fact that the medfet community is broad enough and tolerant enough to embrace both approaches. In fact I don't see it as an "either/or" situation, but more like a spectrum of attitudes. And indeed that's been my experience even in the few medfet encounters that I've had.

As has been repeated in other threads on this board, the mind is a very powerful sexual organ. And no matter whether an exam is performed with clinical dispatch, or with overt sexual stimulation, how the participants perceive it their own minds goes a long way to determining their ultimate sexual satisfaction.

First, welcome to the community 😃 Pertaining to your question, as has been mentioned, there is a wide spectrum of people that enjoy an assorted variety of medical fetish. From the purely clinical to the purely kink, a large portion of people fall somewhere in between.

I will use a nuts and bolts description of myself as an example:

The thing is , what makes the site interesting is the fact that there's diversity in terms of medfet interests but amidst all that, we co-exist. So, if you ask me, I wouldn't call it a divide, I prefer diversity.

Anyone who thinks Doctors in this country are not concerned with a patients modest has never experienced what passes for it in Russia today or the former Soviet Union. When I was 15 the middle school I attended was scheduled for their annual medical exams spread out over a two week period. The day of my exam I reported to the local clinic and was ushered, along with 100 or so other boys aged from 12 to 18 into a room where a middle aged matron announced that we were to remove all our clothes, watches ,jewelry, etc and place them in lockers. After we had stripped we all stood around waiting for our exam. During this period people would come in and out of the room, some were medical personnel but most were not. Our names were called in groups of about 10 and we reported to a woman clerk who couldn't have been more than 18 or 19. While we were standing there in the nude she asked each our name and DOB and gave each of us a folder to carry with us throughout the exam. The exam process was more like an assembly line, you went from one clinician to the next with each one only examining part of you. The examiners were either middle aged matrons or young women. When it was time for our genital exam the woman who did this was about 20 and she took about 30 seconds to check for hernia, feel the testicles and penis and place two fingers in your crotch while she put upward pressure on it.The final part was of course the rectal exam and for that they had two women who had a supply of gloves next to them, we would walk up to an exam table and bend over it while she very quickly inserted a finger in the rectum, pull it out, discard the glove and move on to the next.Urine would be collected in an old fashioned enamel hand held urinal that we would hand to a clerk who pour some of the urine into a small glass with a paper slip with our name under it.My GF told me the exams for the girls were just has bad.
