Holding in subsequent enemas

I found that if I am taking larger volume enemas in a series (greater than 2 quarts each) that overtime they become harder to hold, and harder if even possible to take. I think the trick is to be patient, and take a break between each enema. If my colon is still tense, or I haven't released all of the water it can become uncomfortable.
