Testicular / Scrotal Auscultation

I have often fantasized about a cold stethoscope on my scrotum during a fantasy exam. Has anyone had this in a fantasy exam or in a real exam? I would love to hear about it.

I've seen pictures of that and also at a female vulva. There's no clinical interest in that there no sounds to listen at that region so I don't find it intersting for me but I accept that "the cold touch" of the steth maybe arousing and I'm for freedom so cheers

I beg to disagree on the subject of scrotal auscultation - Many surgeons auscultate the scrotum in cases of suspected inguinal hernia (non-incarcerated) what they are listening for are belly sounds of the escaped descended bowel. I'd be interested in the citation you mentioned regarding female genitalia auscultation. I have fiound one reference (with poor image) in Am J Ob Gyn from the 1920's. Could figure out what he was listening for (and neither could he). There is a wonderful American Heart Association monograph - a bibliography of the stethoscope and auscultation.

Scrotal auscultation were done with nurse or doctor fingers, not with a sthetoscope cause there is nothing to be heared. Indeed is still exiting

Scrotal ascultation is the normal procedure during male examination,it is much nasty than exitaiting

Just to clarify, "auscultation" means listening; "palpation" is feeling.

I always auscultate my medfet partner's scrotum during the genital exam. I don't know if it's the chilliness of the stethoscope or my general proximity to that region, but it always gets to him, in the nicest way! I could also happily auscultate his heart and lungs all day long, but that's just me.

I had never heard of genital asculation, but I will give it a try in my next exam.

At age 16, I had to go into hospital to have my tonsils removed due to a septic polyp.

I had a Pre-med from a young Polish Doctor which was quite thorough.

He said that it was important to check me from head to Toe and EVERYTHING would be looked at so I had to be a brave boy.

As He progressed he ultimately lowered my pj's and gave me a complete genital check which was very embarrassing.

During this he said that I had a very strong pulse in my groin and that he needed to examine me further and he spent the next few minutes placing a stethoscope all over my Penis, Testicles and Groin.

I had my testicles tapped and manipulated as he listened very carefully.

he then used another type of stethoscope with a different end on it and I could hear the "Swishing" sound like when they use ultrasound on a pregnant woman.

Nothing like this happened again until I was Circumcised due to Diabetic complications a few years back.

During the examination, the Urologist commented that I had a very strong pulse in my groin which he could feel.

Apart from a good feel , no stethoscope down there then or since.

My girl undresses me and stimulates my penis and listens to my heartstethoscope. My heart is pounding 😘

I've also seen references to auscultating the upper portion of the scrotum if there is suspicion of an inguinal hernia, presumably detected on palpation. I guess you would do this with the patient naked, and standing, with hands out of the way, which might be quite arousing for some patients

This topic has given me some new ideas, which is always a great benefit of reading this great board. Anyway, during my last play exam, I did a detailed examination on his scrotum. Next, I used my stethoscope to listen and I tried moving it to different areas in the vicinity of his scrotum.

We were doing a role play featuring a "country doctor who made house calls", so my patient was lying on his back on the dining room table. We also had three interested observers, the household canines 😉 .

A Dopler steth is also used on the scrotum in suspected cases of testicular torsion. This allows the examiner to determine if the testicles are receiving proper blood flow. It is considered an emergency situation if blood flow to a testicle is impeded. Surgery to untwist the spermatic cord is almost a given.

When I was running on my track team, I pulled a groin muscle and had an exam. With my pants and boxers off, the doctor placed the stethoscope all around my groin area, including both of my testicles.

It's something I've never had done, but I don't know if I would be opposed if it were an attractive lady doc doing the exam!

I don't wish to get off topic, but since it's a quote, maybe otherwise the original poster wouldn't be notified.

In any case, I've never heard of circumcision being necessary for diabetic complications. can anyone give any explanation on this? To me it sounds like an 'any old excuse to cut off the foreskin' thing ...

When my sister is ill she always had her thighs checked.the doctor paces the stethoscope over her underware and make her take deep breathes.even when she went for a minor illness she got this exam.she was embarassed when she passed wind during stethoscope was around underware.the doctor laughed at her and started palpating her abdomen so that she will again pass wind and listened to the sound when she did it again

In the US, complications from diabetes are a rather common reason for adult circumcision. This can be due to tightening of the foreskin, poor circulation in the foreskin (which could actually lead to infection and gangrene), and repeated intractable yeast or bacterial infections under the foreskin. Believe me (I'm a diabetic with all the imaginable complications), when it comes to diabetes, it's not just an excuse to chop off an extra bit of skin. It can be the last resort to take care of any number of uncomfortable and potentially dangerous complications.

I have only had my femoral arteries listened to during a REAL exam. My underwear is usually pulled down on each side and I get turned on knowing my pubic hair is on display. Other times the stethoscope has been placed under my underwear. However, having my testicles examined via a stethoscope sounds quite appealing!

I sort of had the impression that listening with a stethoscope to testicles was just one of those very unrealistic things done in doctors porn ... something not really done by medical personnel.

Can anyone think of a valid reason this would happen in a real medical setting?

I can't think of any reason to listen to the testicles, but if there was a scrotal swelling which could be a hernia then you could listen to the swelling to see if there were bowel sounds which would indicate a hernia.

My understanding of this suggests that to apply the stethoscope bell or diaphragm to the testicles is more of a symbolic gesture rather than an actual genuine medical procedure. I'm sure there are quite a few male and female patients who would find having their genitals "auscultated" in a play examination quite pleasurable. It's not always about what is technically correct, we are after all, indulging in fantasy not the real thing.

I think sydplaydoc has the answer. A 'real' doc might use scrotal auscultation to help determine if a swelling is a hernia or a hydrocele. If bowel sounds can be heard then it is a hernia. If not, then it is more likely to be a hydrocele.

If there is no swelling present, then there is nothing to check for. There is no harm in including it in a play exam though. After all, the patient is not in a position to complain - they just have to let us docs do what we want 😉

Well first of all ausculating the testes and scrotum is totally hot in my book! But I am also glad to hear that there are medical situations and procedures that involve it. I am always a fan of realistic play exams so it just makes the procedure all the more appealing!

I don't always have my femoral arteries listened to, but one of the most embarrassing moments was when I had two doctor listening to them when I was about 15. I posted that story on here a long time ago. Never had my testicles listened to, except maybe during play exams.

Yeah, i've had it done on play exams... quite hot. The feeling of the cold stethoscope right on the scrotum it's a real turn on. Too bad most people are not really interested in this things.
