Anal hole spreader

Has anyone used this? i have seen pictures on websites... does it actually spread the hole or just the cheeks? any reviews?

The angle of the one pictured on kenstwistedmind looks like it wood be hard to get started, my guess is that it is for the chicks as apposed to a retractor that is parallel to begin with

I think I like the idea of good ole hands spreading butt cheeks and fingers in the anus...but of course that's just my opinion 😁 I guess anal spreaders could be fun for some people.

I agree with you goddesss... I think the manual approach would be more fun for both doctor and patient.

Exactly, it is a mini speculum. It works really well for putting in a larger rectal tube.

They sound and seem uncomfortable and fun all at the same time.

Some of them aren't so well polished around the edges and sometimes the blades pinch a little (feels like cutting you) during insertion. You need to use a Dremmel to polish them a bit along the length of the blades.

The quality control could be better.

Good advice susie! as that would be one place a cut would be no fun at all! I have never had one used on me but would like to try.

I have purchased a few of these over the years. They all seem to have sharp edges on the blades, and really pinch no matter how careful you are.

I don't recommend this anal spreader. I own it. It will pinch and cut your rectum, unless you put a condom on it. Even then you have to be very careful.

Don't let the blades close all the way and they will not pinch.

At first I thought that specific name -- anal hole spreader -- was more of a slang or casual term, until I googled it. I believe it does have some advantages over the 3-armed version recommended above, but if quality/smoothness is an issue, definitely be cautious!

I have seen both types used in actual medical/surgical videos I've seen. And, in fact, on a surgical instrument site I recently stumbled across you can see a variety of styles including both of the aforementioned ones:

I also came across this one, which definitely appears to be non-medical in purpose, but looks like it avoids the pinching issue and still doesn't block the view much. It's called The Hole, also referred to as a ring speculum and this is the only place I've ever seen it:

FTR - I don't have experience with any of these, I've just read and browsed quite a bit over the years so take my comments with a grain or two of salt 😃

I just purchased the 3 prong Mathieu Rectal Speculum from Amazon. Now I'm afraid to use it since one member mentioned it can pinch and cut the rectum. So no one on here really recommends it? I just wasted $27 if that's the case...

Provided you don't close it completely before withdrawal there should be no issues with pinching. Even a two blade speculum can pinch if completely closed before it's withdrawn.

As said earlier, just don't close it all of the way once it is inside. you really should not have any problems then. they are fun things to play with. especially if you have help.

I've used vaginal speculums on my ass and have loved them. They hold you open nicely so you can insert fingers, toys, etc. I used them on a guy once so I could pee into his ass.

Most vaginal speculum are duck bill with athumscrew adjustment .

Anal speculum open or bloom like a flower .typically you need to go to a real colorectal surgeon to see one.

The depending on the model used have different style of blades and some can lock open ,more often then not they only break those out on "special occasions" many colorectal procedures can be done without speculum at all , however it has alot to do where and how long ago the doctor did his residency .
