Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) & The Enema

I hope her recovery has continued to be uneventful!

I had my gallbladder robotically removed 11 days ago, and I’m surprised by how long it’s taking me to bounce back to my “normal” self.

IBS D with occasional bouts of ulcerative colitis. Enemas are most assuredly off the menu. Very rarely it flips to the he C kind and if it goes more than a few days I’ll consider one.

@Iris1858 i hope you are feeling better soon. Anytime someone or something (robotic surgery) stirs up your giblets… it takes time to get back to normal. I wish you a quick recovery.

I have IBS as well as colitis I found the juice from boiled nettle s helps a lot as an enema

I suffer from IBS D and C. For me, enemas really help when I can't go to the bathroom. I don't recommend them when I'm in a full-blown D attack... However, they help a lot when I feel very bloated or when I've been feeling discomfort for a few days, as if I need to go to the bathroom.

I usually use gentle solutions, with salt and chamomile or green tea.
