Is diaper fetish getting more popular?

I went to google the other day and did an image search for hot girl. Then I turned off the safe search and clicked pink to show pictures with pink as primary color and the fourth picture is a girl in a diaper! I was so surprised I tried it on another computer with the same result. Just do a google image search for hot girl with the safe search off and then click on pink color. The fourth picture also leads to a diaper girl blog. I wonder if this is just a coincidence or if diaper fetishism is getting more popular. What do you guys think?

I think that Luma is right, there are many fetish communities out there where people can chat, and feel reinforced by others who have the same fetish, whereas before people had to look really hard, or go to the scary big city to find that kind of place to belong. Its both a boon and a curse in many ways because just as there are those like the folks here who generally work to make it a positive and safe community. There are other communities that are not so much. A lot of pedos have similar community sites that reinforce peoples belief that its okay, when it really isn't. And its very easy for the mundane world to lump us all together.

I think there may be more than a simple fetish involved. Adult diapers and other incontinence products are much more in the public eye than they used to be.

Before June Allyson did commercials for "Depends", adult incontinence was not discussed in polite company and what few products were available were hidden in a dark corner of a drug store or "surgical supply" store. Now many stores openly display Adult diapers, pads etc. and sell a BUNCH of them.

There are commercials on TV, ads in magazines, and many comedians refer to adult diapers as part of their act, etc.. Advertising used to be aimed almost exclusively at the elderly. Newer ads are more inclusive of different age groups.

There is definitely a fetish side to it too, but I think that adult diapers are being worn by a lot of folks simply for practical reasons.

They may not be obvious about it, but college students may wear "protection" during long tests. People making long flights or road trips may elect to wear to minimize "pit stops" in public rest rooms. Other people wear for convenience during extended shopping or even at work. Since they have to urinate often, pregnant women often wear pads or pullups especially during the later stages of pregnancy.

As a DL, I think it's a good thing.

In some ways I think it's more popular as I see more people are into it,but there are a lot less web sites now then there was years ago. When I fist went into a computer cafe and used one for the first time I typed in 'adult babies' and up popped Adult Babies. com and Infantilism.org and each had about 500 web sites of mostly free but a few pay web sites to go to. NOW there are maybe (I'm not sure about the exact number) five or six good free sites with photos and stories and the rest,however those may be are pay sites. I wish some the old sites like Sissy Becky were still around

I think it is just because kids are forced to grow up faster than ever, and something comforting, like a diaper fetish, allows them to "go back".

I will admit it is interesting what you can find. I found a site a few months ago that sold adult diapers. this site did NOT seem to be ABDL aware, and if they are they werent showing it. They did however have a buton on the main page that said reasons to wear. i cannot be certain unless i go back and check but i think about the only reasons NOT listed were sexual or fetish reasons. Long trips, productivity convenience, a few interesting reasons for a site that doesnt look abdl aware. sadly i cannot find the site on my list. i may have it saved in a notepad, if i find it i will share it. I can also still remember reading things about those in lower grades in elementary school, i remember many moons ago when i was in kindergarten, a girl in my class had an accident as was picked on quite a bit because of it. a year or so ago i saw talk about kids that age some still in diapers, accident were common, it seemed they thought 2nd grade was where kids are now trying to be big kids and accidents during the day are rare? How will it change in another 20 years? Most students are still in diapers till 5th grade? accidents are common in junior high and high school? it is when they are in high school that accidents are getting rare because you are almost an adult? What about bedwetting? is that going to be common in those under 18, as a "Well your child is bound to grow out of it" type thing? If so i think a lot of us would wish we could get younger and wait not just that 20 years but another 20 years, where only about 30% of the population is even potty trained, diapers are common, you can be walking down the street seeing someone wetting there pants. As I sit here in my extremely wet diaper and plastic pants it seems to me that this is getting more popular. I was on EBay yesterday and I was amazed at the number of pages for ABDL stuff listed there. By the way I bought some very nice Plastic Pants and 3" diaper pins. 😎

I dont think diaper fetish ism is getting more popular i think more people are just coming out of nursery and its now getting more recognition from the mainstream media. I've seen about 5 shows that had segments on the fetish and have seen many shows with references to it.

Wow - that sure took courage. I couldn't possibly do that, but it opens doors. I wondered how many people in the TV audience would have their emotions stirred enough to try it themselves. I was searching for evidence of this in the audience but couldn't be sure, but maybe some? Anyone who is a latent DL would sure get their adrenalin going.

I believe it really is in the last few years, Many are not as afraid to come forward with fetishes, its a safe one. I mean diapers arent hurting anyone or anything. Its a natural thing that is fun and fullfilling

I think part of it is that more people are embracing their fetish, whatever it may be and not caring how other people think.

Yes, the internet is helpful since it gives everyone a place to post what they like within reason. It has helped to make people less secretive with their innermost thoughts and desires.

It is defeintely a positive that this is happening and as time goes on, hopefully there are more and more instances like the one you came upon on a frequent basis.

I was 13 when i first started getting back into diapers...the internet was in it's infancy (no pun intended), and the resources just aren't there.

Today, through groups, google, and stuff like that, this fetish is finally out there and mainstream. And if it makes you feel better, there are kids that were way younger than me that was enjoying diaper time just as much as i did. it really must be a way for people to go back in time...

With more and more children, teens and youths using more and more products that are readily available to them and for them,it is inevitable that more and more people discover the joys of being in diapers. I dont know about becoming more popular honestly i think its just easier to access now. thre are so many networking sites up for this stuff so more poeple are finding them for whatever reason they are wanting to find them

It is definitely more popular then it was back in the 90's when I found DPF by accident on the net. Once people like myself found that we weren't the only ones with this fetish it opened up a whole new world for the ab/dl. Look at the changes in the last 15-20 yrs. Today you can chat, meet someone, get diapers,supplies,any type of adult baby clothing,look at an endless number of pictures, videos and anything else related to this fetish. it's a great time to be an ab/dl!

DCJ In response. The increase in the AB/DL population is firstly because of the increased stress levels in society in general. How many people visit the gym? A lot more today than twenty years ago! How many people practice Yoga as a stress relieving exercise? Secondly, relationships are that much more complicated and stress full to manage. Everyone chasing the dollar and living up to commitments, is another one. It is only logical that people develop defensive practices that insure there emotional well being. Most people develop a religion during there lives weather it be visiting a church and praying or any of many self defining and supporting techniques. You can go to church as a couple but you pray alone! In a day and age when there are so many out side pressures on oneself it is only logical that people would want to return to a time when those pressures did not exist. Are far as you're saying that fetish is dirty and demeaning I think that it is a simple case of not being allowed to make the journey of regression. Guilt and making that journey of not wanting to forgive yourself for wanting to go there leads to depression and you beating up on yourself. I believe that it is empowering and it leads to a place of self recognition and forgiveness. Sort of make friends with your self first. Once you can forgive yourself, you can forgive the rest of the world and get on with living the life that you now own. Yes, a life style worth living, your own. This is not about you and I DCJ, but it is about sensitive people surviving in a sometimes, emotionally brutal world.

I think its a combination of people being more open now that they know there are others, and it is gaining popularity as well.

There are people who never before in their life even thought of wearing a diaper for pleasure or relaxation, but do it now, thanks to the expansion of information on the internet.

They see people on sites who enjoy it, and they start thinking about it, and give it a shot. Then there are people like my fiance, who before me never once thought about diapers, but before we met up IRL, she knew I liked diapers. When we met up IRL, she decided to give it a try, and loved it.

The accessibility to information and other people has definitely played a part in its popularity increase.

No. More people are coming out of the fetish closet because of the anonymity of the internet, and because of sites like this, which reassure them they are not alone. If anything, there's probably less fetishism in society today compared to fifty years ago, because we're not as repressed. We're still repressed, but not as repressed.

I think the fetish is getting more popular for sure! You see more and more pics of College girls in diapers from web shots or whatever, hell! There was even an episode of Grey's anatomy that had 2 of the female lead actresses wearing adult diapers for a 6 hour surgery or something to that effect.

I am not sure really. Ive been into diapers for over 20 years and I think the number of sites have shrunk. I don't see as many as I used to and those that are out there, several don't have frequent updates.
