Equipment with Timers or Electric Valves

I have seen several old enema devices where an upright cylinder with some kind of winding device sits on top and there is a delivery tube to the patient. I imagine it must be a clockwork operated plunger that descends in the cylindeer forcing out the solution but does anyone know more about them?

Also, does anyone have information about very small bulb enemas used in the Far East, they may contain strong salt solution I think. Whatever it it, it is incredibly hard to hold for more than a few moments. I would be pleased to get replied to these questions, thank you !

I've seen what you're talking about but I don't know anything else about them aside from they do exist. I'd certainly like to know more about them, but they seem *highly* impractical to me.

Regarding The Orient, sounds to me like they invented the Fleet before the Fleet enema was invented!

I could be wrong, but I believe what you are talking about are small disposable syringes filled with straight glycerin. I have never tried one, but hear that they are quite effective.

Since I made my first post on these I have seen a better picture which shows a rack & pinion system, so it must be that you wind the handle which depresses a plunger down the cylinder and forces the liquid down the tube. Cool, eh!

I have yet to see the real equipment or even sit on one!

Has anyone experimented with a timer attached to a valve that would automatically start an enema at a specific time or that it would open/close the valve randomly during an enema??

Never try with a timer , but from your thought here is my one , a switch to control a aquarium water pump , you can use it with a speed control too .

I posted this somewhere else but I can't find it. I found a small submersible outdoor fountain pump, connected a hose to it and wired a foot switch in series with an old extension cord to control it. I place it in a 5 gallon bucket, put the hose in the top of a clear open top bag securing the hose with a twist tie so it won't fall out.

The result is controlling the bag fill, watching the water go up and finally drain, and sometimes getting a little burst of air adding to the experience. And 5 gallons leads to a long afternoon of play. Use only in an electrically safe place.

I also built an automatic delivery system using a 12 volt power supply, a 12 volt solenoid valve, a water level pressure switch from an old washer. The hose from the bag goes to the inlet of the solenoid valve, the outlet goes to a "T" connector with one side to the pressure switch, the other side to the nozzle hose. The switch has a screw to adjust the sensitivity so it turns off when there is enough "back pressure" and stops the flow.After relaxing the flow starts again.

I looked and found the solenoid valve on Amazon, it's 1/4" NPT ports make it easy to get fittings. As for the switch I found one at a used appliance repair shop but I found a one see links below. It must be adjustable. There will be a screw on the diaphragm to adjust the sensitivity. The switch has 3 connections, you need an ohm meter to determine which 2 terminals are closed without pressure. And it has 3 or 4 positions adjustable using a knob so you can fine tune while in use. A knob for it would have to be ordered. To add versatility in case I wanted a different experience I later added an adjustable on/off timer to control on time and off time instead of pressure using a SPDT switch modes.

I built my own timer using a 556 timer chip but I found one on Amazon that should work, I should have looked first, I could have bought the timer instead of building it. And it can be powered from the same 12 volt power supply. I thought about building some for sale but besides not having time I don't want the responsibility in case someone does something stupid. Have fun but use common sense.
