How many enemas per day or week?? What's safe?

I tired I only made it three days. I was so bloated by last night it wasn’t even funny. I had to give in time the bag. Suppositories didn’t help I managed to take 2qts plain water and I pooped my brains out. I tried I really did I just got to full

I have taken daily enemas since 1986. Usually two 2-2.5 l of tap water. Recent colonoscopy (yes, without sedation) showed only one small polyp. Otherwise things were normal. I might add that this was my first colonoscopy, 14 years later than recommended age 50. I'm not suggesting or recommending daily enemas for everyone. It just works for me, and I enjoy it.

Having dealt with chronic constipation all of my life, I'm used to spending an obnoxious amount of time every day finding just the right balance of fiber supplements, gentle laxatives, and diet just to be able to have a bowel movement that isn't painful or frustrating. As such, I've found out that replacing that routine with a daily enema, by comparison, isn't too much longer out of my day.

I've moved into a new apartment recently and despite having two other roommates and my partner all under the same roof, I still have a fair bit more privacy and freedom than I did before. I've since dabbled into trying soapy enemas daily every morning and it's just been a treat. It's only been a handful of times so far, but I can easily see myself sticking to this for some good stretches of time, with maybe the occasional break for natural BMs.

The extra time it takes to do such a routine is outweighed by the fun of it for me. And being able to relax on the porcelain throne for a good few minutes as the enema leaves me is a nice stress reprieve all its own. If there's any negative repercussions from such, I'll default to my usual routine, but for now I'm enjoying this too much to stop any time soon.
