Boycott Optimal Health Network

So, as many of you know, I am teaching a class on enemas at a local dungoen. I wanted to have this class be top notch, and I wanted to be the man, so I contacted everyone I have ever purchased enema gear from to ask if they would like to be on a list of enema equipment distributors and if they wouldn't mind donating some gear. I was super jazzed because many companies got back to me, and said that they would give me gear for the class...sweet right?

One company was the Optimal Health Network which runs enemabag.com, and a bunch of other enema sites. Kristina Amealong got back to me that she wold help out, and wanted to know some details about the class. I was honest and forthcoming, and gave her all the details including the owner of the club's email so she could verify to see if I was legit. I got an email from her last night that said she was not going to help me out after all because she only advocates enemas for health reasons....what the fuck.

First of all- she shouldn't alienate her prime customers. I know for a fact that many people on this site buy enema gear from her (I have talked with a few ladies privately), and I hope a few of you come forward to back me up here. Second, enemas can still be healthy, I just have way more fun in the process of being healthy...which leads to healthy orgasms for all. Third, enemas and colonics as health treatments are questionable...I am not saying that there aren't benefits, but real doctors would debate whether she is a quack or not, while most kinky people know about enemas as a prep for anal sex, or just for fun. Fourth, we were also going to cover the possible health benefits in my class. Fifth, it is bad biz- I have already had multiple friends in the BDSM community place orders online as a result of my suggestions, and alienating me is bad biz.

Finally- has she seen the gear that she is selling? I know how to use that stuff, and all those custom designed enema nozzles are more for personal pleasure than for health- not to mention the retention devices and other naughty goodies like butt plugs that she sells- how many butt plugs are designed for health reasons anyway? Never had a doctor use one on me in the vanilla world. So....please let this forum know if you have ordered from those sites, and please order from other online suppliers- I will be happy to provide other companies that will gladly support our habit.

I have no argument with you. However, it may be that she is afraid that you were "baiting" her for prosecution under some of the restrictive and stupid statues that have been passed by some of our troglodyte legeslatures. In Alabama vibrators are illegal and the State AG is threatening enforcement! She should state to you her concern for perseccution, of course, at least indirectly. Good Luck. Yeah Octane, we wonderred about whether or not she was afraid of legal issues stemming from supporting the class, but there were many other companies that gladly agreed to help and I don't think that Wisconsin is that conservative. Not to mention I am a faithful customer. I just think that the whole interaction is a little iffy- can you get in trouble for selling enema gear- which is clearly health related regardless of the motivation and headspace of the participants? It is a grey area for sure. I just think that she couldn't have been more tactful in her second email, and less accomadating in the first- I was so excited that she agreed to help, and then the major letdown and half way jab at out unique tastes- from a colon hydrotherapist no less. I am over it now, but there are many other companies with the smae gear that are enema lover friendly- so go with them instead.

I am sorry to hear that many of you had bad experiences with OHN, but I am not surprised. As for the bad higginsons...I too take extreme care with my gear, and have had three go south on me, and they are the same from every company- so I wouldn't hold that against OHN. Also, if anyone is looking for a better company to go through, I reccomend rojo_enterprises. Their gear is cheap in price, but quality craftsmanship, and they are kink friendly. Furthermore, ROJO has a very good in-line pump that is similar to the higginsons in concept, but better in quality and versatility. If any of you order from ROJO, make sure and tell them Naughtydoc sent you. Finally, women/s emery boards of differnt grits work well for polishing nozzles that are not perfect and smooth.

😃I also had a run in with optimalhealth as i wanted to purchase some equiptment and they will not accept MONEY ORDERS, I think that kristine has some very bad bussines practise as she fails to relize that not everyone uses credit cards or paypal.

This is the only firm i have had this problem with to date.

Optimal does a good job of selling, but her prices are quite high, and the non-acceptance of a money order is absurd. also a good higginson will last for years. mine is 15 years old and is just fine,. i got it from arthur hamilton. beth tyler is also very good---ron is a good gun. forget these asian suppliers. the germans have been making the best enema equipment for 50 years.

I did ask a person at optimal heath about why they do not accept monney orders and their answer was that peeps are now buying things with conterfit money orders, I thought that was a very lame excuse, They also said it takes 30 days for a maney order to clear thier bank, I for one have never heard about this conterfit money order thing.

The only problem i can think of with a money order is that if you did not fill it out and lost it.

I have only ordered one item from OHN (a video) and it came rather quickly. However, it is true that a number of financial instruments including traveler's checks are easy to alter and counterfeit. Recently I have seen a number of businesses that will NOT take traveler's checks for that reason. While this is very sad, it is part of bigger problem in the world of money in which we live. Without getting into the other problems presented in previous posts, they may have a very valid point on this one. A cashier's check might work instead (from an institutions in which you are not known!).

ROJO gladly accepts money orders and personal checks. I recently made a purchase from them with a money order. The various forms of payment are supposed to make it easy to spend your money, I thought! When people look at my money funny, then I stop showing it to them...

The best way to promote the most health for the most people is to assist anyone taking enemas for any reason - show them how to be safe and happy. More knowledge is always better. It seems to me that that is what naughtydoc is promoting, and I can understand his frustration.

There are a handful of custom nozzle makers that are members of this site. One is JD's custom nozzles, while another is Grant that makes Grant's Custom nozzles including the famous strap-on nozzle. Finally, there is the caveman, though he no longer makes many nozzles. You can track all these people down on the web. If I come across their links today, I will post them.

Why not contact Beth Tyler @ www.bethtyler.com. They have a great assortment of equipment and their prices are comparable to other sites plus the quality of their product is top-of-the-line. Optimal Health does not want their image to be mixed with BDSM and kink for reasons that are theirs and they are to be respected.

Many colonic and enema therapists have been raided or visited by cops pretending to be Johns looking for a hand job.

From what I heard, Amelong is herself a Klysmo but she does not want to advertise herself as such and that is fine by me.

As for not accepting money orders, it is up to them. I have been developing online payment solutions for more than 10 years now and people never always accept this or that. Some are eager to accept Paypal, others don't want to hear about it. Credit cards are still the #1 means of payment preferred by both sellers and buyers because of the protection they offer to both parties.

I would not boycott them for that type of business practices.

I've found other suppliers for most of the items. So, on your list, WHO is selling silicone Colon tubes 50"x48fr?

None of the suppliers I've sued have listed them last time I did a comparo.

I've purchased from both Rojo and Optimal Health. Like others on this thread, I've had problems with Optimal Health with their web order system, mis-ships, etc. Rojo is faster to ship, and they make no 'bones' about knowing the customer base. Optimal Health is in a diffult position....they have a bi-polar clientele....one half klismos, another half true health followers where physical satisfaction is a secondary objective or consequence.

On balance, I would go with Rojo.

I keep hearing that Kristina is protecting herself, but I have been to Madison Wisconsin many times, and that is a hip college town with its fair share of liberals. I highly doubt officals are raiding her place!

Secondly, if you want to appear vanilla, and claim to cater to actual "health nuts," then remove the butt plugs, anal beads, anal toys, sensual nozzles, and all other gear from your site that has no biz in a hospital or colonic clinic.

Clearly, she puts a spin on the possible uses for her gear that makes them sound normal and theraputic when they are what they are- sex toys! Examples include her foam butt plug, the butt plug style nozzle, custom delrin nozzles, Klystra and DeMask enema equipment, and myriad other pieces that most colon hydrotherapists would never use or suggest using. All those enemas and the head is still stuck in the ass...what a shame!

Optimal Health isn't on my list anymore to order from. Did once and that was that.

Everyone has their own way of conducting their business and web site, Naughty Doc. Maybe her panties were in a bunch the day she backed out on you, who knows. Hope your class went well.

OK, it's hard to know HOW to "vote" with your consumer dollars.

I've been quite satisfied with the OHN products I've bought, and recommended them here on E4F, although the owner may be "......" [fill in as you please].

I've also been quite satisfied with products from "Tyler Labs", and many of the other sources mentioned. [I'm quite turned off by the right wing views of Beth Tyler #2, but others may share them, or not care. I try to help make/keep it a "free" country.]

I've only dealt with Optimal once. I was satisfied with their speedy service because I placed the order on Sunday, receiving it on Thursday. That being said, I wasn't totally thrilled with the product (an "E'Lavage" system), as one of the components was labled something like "one time use only". Also, I'm finding it pays to shop around. A 750 cc double balloon retention catheter costing $170.00 at Optimal, will run you $145.00 at Arthur Hamilton, and as far as I can tell, it's the same product.

I had trouble with the order being screwed up also. They shorted me on nozzle and it was really difficult to get them to see they were wrong and not me.

This is an old topic, but I'd like to comment.

Respectfully, the power to choose means that people can say yes or people can say no. Somepeople want low key pleasure from their equipment. Others want S&M and role play.

I do not expect a vendor to be my friend. They are in business. If someone approaches them to take part in a project and they say no, why they say no is their business.

I don't mean to be harsh. Why bother being angry when someone says "no"? We all hear "no" sometimes.

I'm not trying to yank your chain or make you made. There aren't very many good vendors. While I can appreciate the value of comparing notes on this forum, I also know how easy it is for marketing people to have a few dozen sign ons to diss the competition. I'm not saying that you are doing this, it's just that it's wise to take it all with a grain of salt.

And perhaps a couple of tablespoons of baking soda.

I lived in Mad Town for 20+ years. A more Liberal place would be hard to find. I have been to OH in person and also ordered through the internet. In person I felt like an outcast. On line there were issues with my order. Shop where you will. I prefer friendly service at a decent price.

Glad to know that some people do not like OHN and I am one of those. I ordered a silicone tube and a silicone butt plug and payed them though Visa. I never got my order so now I will never order from them again redrub

Is there another A. Hamilton?
