The advice to not put anything in your mouth that has been in an ass seems to be sage on the surface. Fred, you raise an interesting point I hadn't even considered...rimming. This practice is far more prolific than the scenario I described, both in porn movies and certainly in the general public. At the great risk of sounding extreme, if you are REALLY CLEANED out, it isn't bad at all. There isn't any fecal color, smell or taste. At the worst, It actually tastes kind of mucousy, like what might be tasted if you have a post nasal drip when you have a cold, but without the sliminess. I have been reflecting badly on myself for a long time. I spell captain with a k. I am a techno type and they are notoriously bad spellers. (Who do you think invented spell checkers?) My educational emphasis was on the method to get the answer, not the answer. Once you have a working method, use the machines to get the right answer. If you don't have the right method there is very little hope of ever getting the right answer. In physics and calculus you learn that you cannot get the right answer. They actually teach you how to calculate the limit as you approach the answer. (What the error could possible be on your calculated answer.) English was the most hated class for the true engineering types (the one who found the math relative easy.) English was just a bunch of rules with many exceptions that required rote learning (No fixed method.) "Language structure and linguistics" was a much more interesting class.

Sometimes I will challenge someone on the spelling of a word. I tell them it must be spelled wrong because that is the way I would have spelled it. There are many people that proudly state that they can not do math. Well I (not so proudly) admit I an a poor speller. You should see the mess I would be sending you if not for the spell checker. You can't always tell just by looking at someone or doing a med-fet exam if they are infected or if you will be.

Some STD's are more difficult to catch that way than others.

Here's one for Switchablesusie. We see the ads on TV for genital herpes medicine that claim the disease can be spread even without lesions present. I've also heard it can only be spread if lesions are present. I know a couple that used to live next door. It IS still possible to get herpes even with no lesions present. They may be healed or healing, but the area may still be shedding viral particles. In most instances you will not get herpes if lesions are not present, but it is not 100%.

I wondered how this thread got recycled after 10 years too. I guess sometimes people just don't notice certain threads which then lie dormant until someone's interests suddenly match with an old thread that they may have picked up on a search for something.

I'm a retired physician, and as some have noted here, just because you do something risky doesn't mean you'll have a problem with it. On the other hand, you may be unlucky so everyone takes whatever risks they are willing to chance (or may not understand the risks). I still think going ass to vagina is very risky for setting up an infection, so I've never done it. As far as ass to mouth, for me it just seems distasteful in addition to potentially being infectious.

I once saw a short video here of a (presumably consenting and willing) woman acting as a sub, tied up in a full rubber hood having her butt plug removed and then directly put into her mouth to gag her (gag as in stop speech, not actually start gag reflex). Later on she was given an enema while still hooded. Presumably she'd had enough enemas beforehand to keep her plug free of solid waste, but even so, it made me very queasy just watching it. Before there was the internet I began having sex.
