Enemas on cruise ships

Having never been on a cruise ship have no knowledge of this fact.Never the less a nurse friend of mine, was working on a cruieliner as a nurse. She claimes because many people were over eating and drinking that she had several request from passengers that needed enema. It was also not un common to have a passenger complain of being constipated after over eating, so it was just common practice to give them an enema.

Any one else heard of this.

--makes one think about a cruise for damn site.

I was never on a cruise but it sounds like a good reason to take one.

No nurse is ever going to give me an enema -- unless it is a male nurse. If I travelled on a ship, I would take my own enema equipment.

I don't think a nurse can give an enema without a Dr's order so the Dr on the ship would have to examine you and then if ordered the nurse would give it. I know there are medical staff on the ships but only heard of people going there for sprains and strains. I normally bring my own equipment and there is nothing better that getting an enema on the balcony as the ship sails, so relaxing!

I have never had an enema per se on a curise ship but I have had a high clonic. -- DD

Been there done that.the bathroom is small .as small as a closet not much room to do much in it .the bag hanges off the shower stall.good height with the motion of the ocean and the fun and excitement knowing you may be the only one on board getting a enema 😃 😃its fur try it you may like it

My wife and I have been on several cruises. I always take my folding syringe, w/douche nozzle attached, along because I know that I am going to need it before the cruise is over. After its first use, I simply leave it hanging in the shower for the remainder of the cruise and if the cabin attendant notices it, so what. With the douche nozzle attached, he/she won't know whether it was used for an enema or douche.

I have often thought that I'd like to go on a cruise before I die. thinking that I could get an enema from the nurse makes me think about it even more

I've heard that they use salt water aboard ships with a Higginson syringe that's attached to a long piece of tubing. 😄

We leave Sunday on another cruise and I am sure it won't be too many days until I will be needing enemas and I may just as well go ahead and hang the bag in the shower when we unpack our suitcases after boarding.

Haven't been on a cruise ship, but during my navy career I had a few fillings in the shower. Now those were very "shared" surroundings and absolutely no privacy, but I still managed.

Think about the whole crazy pack of us enema freaks here at Zity having our own E-Fest and chartering the whole ship for a tropical cruise. Made the whole cruise week without having to take an enema even though wife did ask me one evening, when I was passing a lot of gas, if I had brought the bag with me. I told her that I had but did not get it out and use it but probably should have. I did have to take several enemas just as soon as we got home however and have had several enemas in the week since.

I've been on a lot of cruises. I always pack my bag as i know Im going to need it. I get pretty stuffed from all the food that i'm not used to. The cruise ship bathrooms are always small but there's always a way.

I've taken a number of cruises and the thought of having an enema onboard had never crossed my mind. I'll bet it would be wonderful if you could book an enema or colonic.

Cruises and enemas surely go together. Water sloshing on the inside and on the outside.

I just got back from a 4-day Disney cruise. By day 3 I was so bloated and constipated that I knew the only way to enjoy the rest of the cruise would be to have an enema. As a young male, going to the nurse is out of the question. I also had not packed an enema bag.

I entered the shower and saw that there was a hand held sprayer. I removed the shower head and adjusted the temperature/pressure of the hose till it was just right. I inserted the hose into my butt, and let the water flow.

I flooded my bowels with approximately 4 cups of water. I immediately released 3 days worth of blockage in a couple seconds. It was one of the best feelings of my life. I continued on for about 20min just to make sure I got it all.

I've mostly been on small ships with no medical staff. So no nurse to go to.

I did use my own bag while anchored in Glacier Bay overnight. 1983.

I recently spoke to a woman, now a lower ranking employee of the same company I work for.

She said that before she was married, she had actually been a crew member on a US Navy cruiser.

One night on an overcast, but calm night, so no real light around, there was a cruise ship passing in the distance. They are easily identifiable because they ae constantly rinsed with bright light.

The bridge had been in radio contact with it, and there was no issue, it was, "Two ships passing in the night"

It WAS however passing close enough that under those clear, calm conditions you could see incredible detail with ordinary Navy-issue binoculars. Since there was nothing happening anyway, she decided to just admire the resolution on those binoculars, and she focused in on that cruise ship. About the 6th deck up there was a row of passenger cabins . Most of the cabins had they curtains shades or blinds closed tight, if the light was on, you could not see a thing, but in one of the passenger cabins near the middle, the curtains were wide open and the lights were fully ablaze, it was well lit.

In that cabin, there were two people clearly visible. Both females and both looked to be in their late 30s early 40s and no one else around them.

Clearly one was giving the other an enema!!! Of course the ships passed in a few minutes, but it was something you would never see anywhere else!!

I have only been on two passenger ships in my life and I never had nurse administered enema on either of them. However, I spent twenty six years in the Merchant Marine and have been on many cargo ships both dry cargo and tankers. I have had enemas on all of them and they were self administered. I have never been on a cargo ship with professional medical person aboard.

It was aboard one such ship where I developed my Jugbag syringe from a trash bin. When you are on a four month trip, you can get constipated and you can gain weight BIG TIME without an enema. Such was the case when I flew into Cairo to meet a ship the next day and my baggage arrived a week later. My syringes were in those bags and as far as I know, there are still there. I often wondered what those Arabs thought when they found my enema gear. Anyhoo... I left the next day with no gear enema or otherwise. Knowing what landing in Egypt may be like, I left the airplane with the headphones from my seat in my pocket. They were small gauge hollow vinyl tubing with about an eighth of an inch bore. They became my enema supply line. Then in the galley, I found a half gallon ice cream container made of plastic. I dumped out the ice cream and that became my bag/reservoir. With the small headphone tube, the inflow was slow but I had a lot of time. I found some string and tied my ice cream syringe to the shower curtain rod. That way when the ship took a roll, the ice cream stayed level and the water stayed in the box.

We crossed the Atlantic at nine knots then we went through the Panama Canal. The Canal transit was interesting because our ship was a Panamax. Then at the same nine knot speed, we went up the Pacific coast of Central America and Mexico up to California. I left the ship in San Diego, CA. It took four very long months and a week or two from Egypt to California. Every night after my watch, I loaded my ice cream container a couple of times using my earphones for a supply tube. That was my time for listening to an *sshole!

As an epilogue to this tale, I was the Radio Officer on that ship and sent the last commercial message from her. During my time aboard her she was known as the “Steam Tanker Worth.” She later came out from the shipyard as the hospital ship "Comfort" and she saw action in the Far East.

I took many shower hose enemas on the cruise ships. Great quick relief.

Interesting take on "pleasure craft"

I think an enema on a cruise ship would be a good idea in view of the over-eating on them, but it probably would be more practical to do the cleanse by oneself or a partner than with a crew member. I do, however, see a potential market for colonic irrigations that could be offered as part of the ship's beauty spa offerings.

Wow so many nice ideas and stories. It makes me want to book a cruise for all the fun I could have.

I have never been on a cruise either but I believe an enema would be necessary if I do go on a cruise. I've heard a lot of overeating occurs on a ship and I would definitely need an enema

I have been on several cruises and always pack a bag. Although most of the enemas are purely for erotic purposes, they do have the added benefit of taking care of the constipation that can easily occur.
