A colleague off mine told me that some years ago shw was referred to hospital after finding a lump in her breast. This is an absolutely true story... unless the girl who told it to me made it up. I'm just dragging it out a bit. The doctor introduces them to her and says, "Carol's been a very good patient of mine for many years". That is a great story. If its not true, it is still a great story. If it is true, its really a great story. Good reason to go into the medical profession. And even a better reason to be a fine writer.
