Does an Enema fetish equal a Scat fetish?

No! I have no desire to play with feces. I enjoy every part of the enema process and the clean up is easy after using to toilet to expel. Then clean the enema gear with soap and hot water and let it dry.

I do not think enemas lead to scat play. Maybe to some but probably a small percentage. The enema is sexual arousal for me from day one. Have taken maybe three enemas in my life to actually solve constipation. The other bags were pleasure and a way to get to the next step, anal play. Expelling either in the toilet or shower it needs to be flushed away. Not repulsed by seeing it or removing it, just have zero need to be exposed further. If I'm with a partner who has not be cleaned out and find matter, I'm not at all happy, however during the enema process its a sign things are working as planned. From seeing fetish pics/video it looks to be a very messy clean up and most likely an offending oder that's hard to mask. If it's your thing great, just not seeing a direct tie between the two.

Only enema, no feces (skat)

No. Not the same thing. Personally I don't have an enema fetish per se, but I administer them to patients who do, and they always go to the toilet to expel it privately. I have yet to meet any enema fetishist who would suggest otherwise. And that's good. I'm not into scat at all myself.

I misread this as a Scot fetish, wondering what on earth it was. Boy, was I surprised. LOL

Although i'm not into scat, I have a pretty good idea what's inside an anus and should some of it come out or come in contact with me or my equipment I'll just wipe it off and continue with a rectal exam or enema. I'm not at all afraid of feces contact, but I'm not interested in playing with it or smearing it should I find myself with some. So for me, the enema fetish does not equate to a scat fetish.

Not at all. Most of the time the function of the enema is either pleasure or health reasons.

I want to chime in here…

When we started teaching our famous enema class in dungeons and clubs 20 years ago, the most common misconception was that an enema fetish was synonymous with scat. This myth was so ingrained in the bdsm scene that it took a lot of education before we witnessed a shift in that perception. So, the Naughtydoc of 20 years ago would say the two are completely unrelated, despite logic saying otherwise. Enema fetish does not equal scat play.

I would even go so far as to say when done right, enemas are the anti-scat, because they leave the bottom clean and ready for further anal play. I want to play with a lovely female asshole, not her shit. I don’t want to smear it, and I for sure want it nowhere near my mouth. Cleaning a willing lady with a series of enemas might even be done so could put my mouth on those intimate places without the fear of encountering any filth.

20 years older me with decades of life and play under my belt would now say “maybe?”. While I don’t want to play with scat, nor is it the focus of my kink, I’d be lying if I didn’t mention that all of us enema lovers have outright scat or scat adjacent moments. I’ll explain with a quick list of examples that some might perceive as scat play that us klismos and age players fail to recognize.

1. You want to see the expulsion to know it’s real, whether in person or in films. I read this on zity threads a lot. Not judging, and I get that the want to see or hear the expulsion is for myriad reasons besides a scat fetish. This observations goes for bedpans, showers, and outdoor expulsions.

2. You want to see the results in the toilet. You hear people in medical and age play scenes say “don’t flush, I need to check the results”. It’s humiliating, it fits the age play and medical roleplay scene, and can be a heavy psychological addition to an enema session. To some, this is getting into scat territory.

3. Diaper messing with the help of an enema or suppo. Need I say more. Not throwing stones, just trying to be objective about the optics of such play and the scat elements. Good kinky fun, for sure scat adjacent.

4. Harris flush and all related to that procedure. IYKYK

5. Scopes and anything viewing the inner workings of the GI tract. Never know what you’ll see or encounter, but there is a good chance of encountering scat.

I could go on. The point is, I’d never claim to have a scat fetish, but I do think many of the scenes we engage in could be seen as scat play to vanilla outsiders as well as seasoned bdsm players that have a limited understanding of both fetishes.

Big part of this sexual journey is just accepting what you like and not letting the labels and stigmas control you. I know what I like and don’t enjoy, and if some play I engage in falls under that umbrella from time to time, so be it.

@naughtydoc Like you said, I would submit that the general scat element of enema play is observing the byproduct the expelling of the enema to see the results. Definitly not the manual interaction with the effluent.

From my point of view, absolutely not. I started doing enemas every morning to empty myself and avoid problems during the 12 (and sometimes up to 16) hours I was away for work, when I was young. I immediately perceived their erotic value, which was extremely pleasurable. Since I do two or three every morning (they've become necessary for many years because pain therapy has significantly reduced peristalsis), I find it stimulating to choose the nozzle based on the sensation I want to experience, and the indispensable and useful evacuation becomes a waste of time between one enema and the next.

It does not equal, but it does touch on it a bit. For some people at least, enema is more about shame, submission, discomfort. Then it's not really playing with the... product.. but having to relieve yourself in front of the doctor, having to look at it, having the play doctor comment on it, that can be a turn-on factor and it makes the situation more intense.

For me, no. All my adult life I have enjoyed enemas, anal fucking & all sorts of related butt fun. I don't get hung up about the odd accident or small amount of mess, indeed seeing my cock or a dildo sliding in & out of a woman's anus shiny with lube & just a touch of tan coloured rectal mucus is no bad thing at all. 😃 But deliberately smearing shit over myself or my partner - not for me thanks.

I disagree! - Elimination is almost unavoidable after an enema, or rather, it's intentionally induced by the enema, but for me, those are two different things. The expelled enema fluid goes into the toilet and subsequently into the sewer. The smell alone, which is unavoidable, is enough for me. I would have absolutely no interest in playing with the excrement.

I love enemas, I love to give them too, in the process I don't have contact with feces. Sometimes there may be a bit on the nozzle as it's withdrawn and can easily be washed of. After the deed is done, at least to myself, I've very careful to clean myself. I also very carefully not only clean my equipment, I clean the toilet, for sanitary reasons, leave nothing behind. No, not into scat.

I can watch enemas all day. I don’t mind watching women pee or poop. I like watching the flexing and opening of an anus while someone is pooping. Pooping on people, eating poop etc. is scat and not for me.

Interesting comments. I have never equated sexual interests in enemas with scat. The sight of a big red enema bag still excites me after a life-long fetish. A pile of crap, not so much.

.... poop is a side effect of enemas, it will show up invited or not, no matter what....I learned to accept it, but we are not friends...a little..or a lot... tend to appear here or there when you expel...not bothered...as I like to follow my mates all the way, it happens a lot to see some, even touch some now and then....still we never became friends.... enema and scat are very different fetishes

@Elrik

I agree with your comments on what constitutes “scat”. I also enjoy watching a man or woman exposing themselves in such a way as to show their poopies as it emerges into a toilet — aka — A “normal BM. Yes, I get turned on just watching it slowly being emitted from a bulging anus into the toilet. IMO this kink “for just watching” this activity take place IS NOT SCAT. My definition of “scat” is when you touch it, smear it, eat it, play with it, etc. Just watching poop is not scat!

In my mind, no and never !!

Nope. Even the typical definition of an enema refers only to the injection of a fluid through the rectum. The result, while it may be unavoidable, is not the goal ...for me. Emphasis on the "for me" part. Playing in or with the result has no appeal to me. YMMV

I have and enema fetish not a scat fetish there is a difference.

Watching expulsions, yes. Actually handling any “output,” expelled fluid, etc, no thank you. A subtle distinction but a real one. Of course others may be into both, just not my thing.

Playing with poop is not my thing. I like the feeling of filling up and then the release but would not be interested in playing with the results

If enemas equate to a scat fetish then needle play is akin to a blood fetish.

Scat to me is a by product of the play and there is no real turn on involved with it for me.
