Internal pressure in the colon

I have been on this forum for a number of years now. I have read about large volume enemas, enemas with various solutions and barium enemas with air contrast. I don't recall ever hearing about a range of pressure tolerance of the average healthy human colon. The reasons for not exceeding this are pretty self-evident, but the chief one would be perforation or bursting of the colon and leakage into other areas and organs of the body, potentially causing life threatening infection (sepsis). Has anyone read about tests performed (probably on cadavers, which would be suspect anyway) or enemas or air insufflation done measuring pressure with an attached gauge? Not to say everyone should increase volume or pressure up to the "safe point" but having a better idea of how much pressure is caused by say, three quarts of water, or four, might be instructive and provide guidelines and limits. Obviously, when someone feels "full" they complain, and that's the proper thing to do. But having some measurement results would add a bit more safety I would think. I'd be interested to hear what others here have to say regarding this subject.

Art vs science vs good clean (ing) fun

I have read that too much pressure can induce some diverticulis when its done too often

During colon hydrotherapy, the pressure within the colon is continuously measured....

Exaggeration is never recommended...even if it is in human nature to push a little further. All discoveries were done that way, When I was youbger I was one of those, always asking "what if?"...now I understand that it is not worth it....more pleasure and less adrenaline is my recipe....

Of course, it all goes with the terrritiry....just remember when you go for "a little more", it could be that famous last drop....
