Buying & using vintage enema bags

Buying and using a vintage enema bag from ebay (new in packaging, but vintage)... how safe would it be? I'm from the UK, and jealous of all the stories on here of the rubber bag smell and want to be able to smell it for myself. I know rubber can degrade over time but just wondering if anyone else has done the same, or what your thoughts are about it...

As with any used medical device, a complete cleansing before use would be prudent. I would use Hydrogen Peroxide and soak the bag, hose, nozzles for 10 minutes in a 12% solution, then rinse. I buy it on Amazon for about $20.00 , here is the description: MAXTITE 12% Hydrogen Peroxide Solution, 1 Gallon - Food-Grade H2O2 & Water - Versatile Multi-Surface Cleaner for Kitchen, Bath, Laundry, Commercial & Janitorial - 4X Concentrated - Made in USA.

You can also use bleach but that can damage rubber.

Hydrogen peroxide will also damage rubber. I wouldn’t expose rubber to it for more than a short time. See https://www.industrialspec.com/images/files/hydrogen-peroxide-material-compatibility-chart-from-ism.pdf

I won’t recommend a disinfectant product as I don’t know the UK market.
