Pelvic Ultrasound

Have any ladies had a transvaginal ultrasound scan? What is it like?

If you aren't too tense or anxious, the exam is completely painless. You might feel a bit cold at first, and there is the sensation of bulkiness when the doc moves it.

My ex wife had five or so over the years. I attended three of them. The tech asked if wife would like to insert the wand or not. Picts of the wand are available online, usually covered in a condom or flexible sheath. Twenty minutes or so from start to finish. The lube being cold was the only comment. Nothing too crazy. Hope this helps.

My tech had a device that warmed the lube.

It was completely painless and IIRC, took maybe 15 minutes start to finish. The only unpleasantness was the absence of wipes in the attached restroom to deal with all the lube. Toilet paper doesn't do nearly as good a job.

The question was to "LADIES"

Yes I have had many, my ynecoogist does them regularly during my gynecology checkups. It's not bad, it just feels weird........imagine a dead Vibrator that feels cold because of the gel they put on.

I have had many. My gynecologist requires one before he will see me, so I know that room well. Full bladder, undressed from the waist down, frog-legged with one knee drawn up against the sonographers’ chest. At least 30 minutes.

She slides the warm probe in and turns it slowly while I watch myself on the screen. Not painful. Just open, filled and very aware of her hands.

I'm trans masculine, but have had a couple recently due to pelvic issues.

It was honestly much easier than I expected it to be. One of the problems I have is difficulty with penetration, along with atrophy that can sometimes make it easier for me to bleed.

The ultrasound itself if relatively thin, and doesnt go in anything like all the way. If you'd prefer, it's likely they'd let you put it in yourself. I did that the first time, and they just took the handle once it was inside. I could feel the movment, but it wasn't really painful at all. I maybe just got lucky for once.
