When was your last dental visit and what did you have done?

My last dental visit was a checkup and a cleaning. I had no cavities but we discussed a molar that has to be extracted. It was the 8th of July.

Tell me about yours.

Full set of Xrays

It was the 29th of June.

Early July with an independent hygienist. Started with disclosing and discussion around my dental hygiene (which is really good at the moment given I use tongue scraper, Waterpik, string floss, interdental brushes, Oral B iO9, implant brush for my awkwardly angled molars and tuft brush for my lower partially erupted wisdom teeth). Commended once again on never having had a filling. Then, Optragate in and full guided biofilm therapy. Starting with the sand blaster. Afterwards, onto the ultrasonic to remove the tartar deposits followed by hand scaling (hate this part and how the sharp prong 'pings' across your teeth. Finishing up with flossing and finally some interdental polishing strip to get those pesky stains between incisors.

I've recently been using Duraphat as I asked for my x-rays from my old dentist and I could see a bit of shadowing between premolars. The dentist didn't say anything but they look like early decay to me. Really don't want to meet the drill; especially for class 2 restorations between teeth and they have to remove a lot of tooth structure for access.

I've been cleaning between every day for around 1 year now. Unfortunately nobody told me to floss as a child and maybe it's caused some decay over the years. Hopefully I can remineralize and keep my zero filling streak 🤞🤞🤞🦷🦷🦷🪥🪥🪥😷😷😷
