No real thought, clean standard boxer briefs.

For a real doctor boxer briefs as you don't usually get undressed any more. For a play exam I always check with doctor or generally white briefs or underwear that may have a hole in them incase doctor wants to rip them open.

During a medical consultation, I wear clean white briefs. When I was a teenager, the doctor used to have me strip down to my briefs, but nowadays, I am no longer asked to undress. In 2025, I went to see a dermatologist for a full skin examination; at her request, I stripped down to my briefs, but she never asked me to take them off.

Basically, something freshly washed and, if possible, something that goes well with the rest in terms of colour. Even though I don’t expect to have to take my clothes off.

I’m usually commando, so I have to remind myself to wear underwear at all when going to the doctor. Beyond that I don’t put a ton of thought into it.

At an early age, I became a consumer of sexy lingerie. I love black and pastels so when I go to the doctor what I wear underneath is usually sexy so I don’t debate should I wear this or that not that I would anyhow. FYI, my gynecologists is a woman.

It does go through my head as I'm getting dressed but it's not the main thing on my mind.

I actually once had a doctor make a joke about a pair of red plaid boxer shorts that I was wearing. I was glad that he noticed lol.

When, as a young adult, my father was taking me to his doctor for my physicals, I liked to wear the old fashioned yoke front boxer shorts with the snaps on the front, that my father wore. They are impossible to find now but they were more common back then. When it came time to strip, rather than just pulling down my boxer shorts I liked to unsnap them one snap at a time.

Not criticizing the poster, but why does a man need a gown if he is wearing his boxer shorts ? This perception that men need to be covered up has gotten out of control. I find it almost humorous when we have this pretend modesty during a physical exam in which the doctor is eventually going to be sticking his finger up inside of my butt.

A nice pair of briefs, usually. No tatty elastic. I’d like the doctor to assume ive made an effort!
