In the former, an underwriter, insurance company, has come up with requirements for the exam. You, as patient, don't have a choice. You might know what the physical exam will consist of, because you have filled out the history at the top of the forms. That said, there is the option to defer given to the doctor. He can check that box, and skip a section, genitals, prostate.
In the latter, the personal, annual physical exam, if you aren't a new patient, you know the drill. There isn't a form. You, as the patient, can skip something which you don't want done, or examined. Unfortunately, with the Medicare Wellness exam, there are questions without much hands on exam. Unless you ask.
