How common is orgasm without ejaculation?

Speaking here mainly to the male members, but anyone that has a thought that is relevant can answer. Most of us have read that male orgasm and ejaculation are separate events most often experienced simultaneously. I'm not thinking here of the teenage phenomena where the newly discovered pleasures of masturbation leads to pumping the well dry, but rather to experiencing orgasmic sensations completely without ejaculating.

I've noticed (greatly enjoyed?) in my shower, equipped with a handheld spray, if I "accidentally" direct the water so that it strikes the frenulum area, a series of pelvic contractions are triggered with sensations much like a wet orgasm, but with no apparent fluid produced. They are not as intense, nor do they last as long as an ejaculation, but I have to say, they make showering more interesting. Like an orgasm, they are a one and done type of thing. Redirecting the exact same water flow in the same way feels nice, but no repeat of the contractions. Is this maybe an example of orgasm separate from ejaculation, or if its just some enjoyable game played on me by my kinky brain. For no apparent reason, rarely no pleasurable contractions are triggered. I plan to continue to test. 😃 Anyone else have similar experiences?

There is nothing like lots of neglected sensitive neurons around your anus getting aggressive tongue attention for the 1st time. Seems like a constant chain of orgasms. Every once in a while, you want to try and stop and catch your breath, but it seems that within a second, you're back to endless orgasming again. It can be very intense.

I'm not sure what tongue action would do, as that is never going to happen here, but the intensity of the sensation from the water spray is awesome. When I am going to ejaculate, I can feel the semen welling up in my urethra -- the point of no return. This feeling is also quite pleasurable and it is followed by ejaculation. These contractions are much more forceful than those described earlier and, if I am highly aroused, much more of a toe-curling, full body experience. My sense is the actual orgasm occurs between the welling up of the semen and ejaculation.

I continue to learn something almost everyday here in zity. I thought an orgasm was just a female thing and ejaculations was the release of the male sperm with a sudden burst of energy and ..releaase...."reliefa'. I do not think my husband has experience a "male" orgasm that I am aware of but does have strong ejacu;ations

Yes, that is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. ...and you have described it better than I did in the original question. Those mini contractions happen before the "point of no return." So I think its fair to consider them a mini-orgasm.

This brings up another interesting point, back years ago before there was semen to accumulate or ejaculate, we still had a "point of no return". Maybe we just have to consider this as our bodies rehearsing for the grand opening?

My most intense orgasms are from edging. Maybe you could try it by having your husband lie on his back and stroke his penis. Every 5 or 10 or 20 strokes, just randomly stop. If his penis twitches, let go completely and wait for it to stop and then continue stroking. Keep going for as long as you both can stand it.

Unfortunately, I only discovered masturbation around the time I started to ejaculate, so I never had a dry orgasm.

I have become much more aware now of the semen accumulating before I orgasm, and I am concentrating on that gap between the accumulation and ejaculation and enjoying the exquisite feeling therein.

As a younger man, I was less aware of the two phases and just plunged forward to ejaculation.

@Denise, Be careful not to get too intense when he is close to the orgasm, that is, when his willy twitches. You want to approach the point of no return, as close as you can get without initiating the full orgasm. If you and he accidentally go over the edge to the point of no return, he should immediately tell you so you can finish the orgasm properly by fully stroking Mr. Johnson to give him maximum pleasure during the orgasm.

With practice, you two should be able to approach the edge and back off several times before you really send him flying over and off the edge into orbit.

This is an interesting topic. Orgasm, Climax, Ejaculation, Cumming all seem to describe that ultimate pleasure. Whether male or female, I'm sure that the sensations are the ultimate goal when engaged in those activities. I've posted before concerning the "dry orgasms" I enjoyed in my younger years. Certain climbing or pull up activities would often bring about these "dry orgasms".
