J&J Baby Shampoo Formula Change

I just picked up a new bottle of J&J baby shampoo and noticed it now contains aloe and vitamin B5 per the label on the front. Aloe is the fifth ingredient in the list. There are also some other differences in the ingredient list. Many of the ingredients were designated as "naturally-derived ingredients" on the old label but the new label no longer makes that claim. I hope this new formula still gives a good cleanout, as it is my go-to soap.

It seems that they are always changing the formula of the good stuff. Sometimes for the better, mostly for the worst.

Do they still have the “no tears” claim in the bottle?

I am now suspicious of the new formula because if they could say that it is made of natural ingredients they would probably say it. This is one of the reasons that I only like to use Bronners soap, it’s completely organic and I have never had any issues with it. The peppermint is my favorite since it really packs a punch when mixed strong and it is the best body wash soap I have ever tried.

Read the ingredients on most soaps... It's my opinion that if you can't pronounce the ingredients it's wise to not use it.... especially inside your body. 2 cents ...

My late husband was a Chemist and used to work for J&J for many years. Most of the change in formula has to do with marketing. The actual formula changes are tiny but they add very little of certain ingredients that don't change the chemistry too much but can be added to the label. If I were to guess it works exactly the same as before for you

Please Dave or anyone using that newer formula that OP @Dave44123 mentioned please post here when you use it. I’ve needed to buy another small bottle and it looks like the same formula he mentioned is the only one I see available here now.

The label still says "No More Tears". Here is a comparison of the ingredients. Not too much difference other than the addition of the aloe and B5 (panthenol). I haven't opened the new bottle yet. I guess I need to get busy and use up the old one for the greater good.

Fragrence is something that should not be going up ones arse to begin with. The other stuff does not look that good or bad. Not something I use or plan on using so not going to poo poo it.

Way too many chemicals for me. Not for me.
