Using a baby/nursery thermometer

Does anybody use a baby/nursery thermometer? Like the brand safety first?

I don’t, only glass for me.

I have used that style. It's a lot quicker than the glass style but can be fun especially in age play because it can invoke specific memories for both players.

I have a glass one and a few digital ones but ive always wanted to try an infant one

I like to use something much bigger and thicker on subs. I've found a couple that are similar in width to a candy thermometer and about 6 inches long. They can feel it go in, and they know it's in there, and they can feel it slide out. It can also be quite a shock to their eyes when I present it to them beforehand.

@Tingue77 and @biene I recently purchased and used a therm just like this for my baby g'daughter. It is made to ensure that it cannot be inserted too deeply, which can damage a baby's small insides

@marcny can the thermometer be inserted deeply rectally on an adult though?

@Tingue77, I do not believe it is made for deeper insertions and that is the point of being a safety thermometer. There are better options for deep adult insertions

I have several digital thermometers similar to the one shown. One is used only for oral. My favorite has a flexible tip that sometimes finds its way up my butt for a quick check to see if I really have a temperature but most often it is used to check the temperature of my enema in the pitcher before I pour it into my bag. It only takes a few seconds to confirm my enema is 102 to 105F.

I agree that the old style glass thermometers are more fun to use for rectal thermometer play but my last stubby bulb thermometer disappeared years ago.

I have several similar electronic thermometers but greatly prefer my glass thermometers. The feeling of the cool glass during insertion is most enjoyable.
