Where do you like to look whilst in the chair

I love the tension associated with dentistry, and love how the eyes can tell us so much

I look anywhere other than the dentist herself, I find looking directly at her makes me more anxious/excited than ever, there isn't much to look at other than the big light or ceiling, but that's where I tend to look to keep composure ❤️

Eyes tight shut! Sweating with fear!

Having just had a tooth removed due to an old crown becoming dislodged, I can't understand why anybody would enjoy going to the dentist. The only thing that got me through it was the soft calming voice of the dental nurse. I left trembling with an outline of my body in sweat on the chair!

I look straight up. I try to make eye contact, but I also try to take in all the sights of the office (the light, the tools, etc.).

I prefer when patients look around, and then I ask them to look up at me.

Either a TV on the ceiling or straight up at the doctor

Every dental office I've visited in the last few decades has had something of visual interest at or near ceiling height, where a patient might look. Bird feeders, mobiles, serene photographs, or a TV screen.
