How long can you hold a glycerin suppository?

How long can you hold a glycerin suppository? Do you walk while holding it or lie down?

I can usually hold a glycerin suppository for anywhere from 30 minutes to as long as an hour if I'm just sitting down. A Dulcolax suppository often works in about 15-20 minutes and causes a much stronger purging effect that can't be held back.

I try tp hold for about 30 minutes to get to feel all those feelings! Not always successful at that though! LOL

I can hold a glycerin suppository for about 30 minutes most of the time. Today I did liquid glycerin and could only hold it for a couple of minutes. It is much more powerful than a suppository.

Can hold glycerin suppository for at least 30 min but up to hour. If early in the morning usually insert and go back lie down in bed. If later in the day walk around sometimes take dog for a walk. If I am not staying around the house will put on a diaper just in case.

Generally about 30 minutes but the Ducolax brand about 20 minutes. Often will take more than one

Like others, 30 minutes to an hour is average. Usually, I am lying down.

I like to hold them as long as possible as I enjoy the discomfort that comes from being desperate to expel, then the relief that comes when your body refuses to hold it any longer, gives in and just explodes. The last time I used them I inserted three before going out and running some errands. I lasted about an hour before making the inevitable mess in the diaper I was wearing. I guess being in public probably does give you more motivation to hold longer than you would if you were just at home though.

About 40 minutes ago, I decided I couldn't wait any longer for fun today. I decided I want to try the cold suppositories from my fridge per @Paula87 's suggestion. I got my nappies out and applied a liberal amount of zinc nappy cream. I don't always use it but it's been a while and I thought I would treat myself. I love the creamy feeling, so soft and rich, and the light, baby fresh smell. I velcroed myself into one of my cute disposables, and then proceeded to insert 2 chilled glycerine suppositories, and a single pink marshmallow! :O I thought it would be nice to have a little extra fullness and plug me up. And I've always wondered if I could get the marshmallows to melt, if the glycerine and butt goo will dissolve it?

Well, I went out to the shops to keep me occupied while the suppositories melt. I love walking around and feeling my hard little clitty rubbing on the front of my nappy...

I'm sitting here writing this and finishing off my second daily dose of macrogol. I feel like such a slut, getting turned on by all these laxatives and my nappies! :O Hoping to hold for another 20 minutes or so before I finally let loose!

It depends greatly on whether I'm empty or need a bowel movement.

If empty, I can retain anywhere from 10min - 60min+.

If I'm full and being naughty and withholding deliberately then anywhere from 5min to 25min.

With a soap suppository it's a similar scenario, the only difference is when the urge to go arrives, there's very little time to reach the toilet (quite a thrill when popping to the shops quickly) whereas with glycerin suppositories when the urge hits I have a little more control/time to casually make my way to the bathroom. Any Q's happy to elaborate

If I stay still, I can hold it for 60+ minutes, much less if I walk around. Just for fun I have put one in, padded up and gone for a walk in the countryside. I wouldnt do this with people around.

I have to hold them for half an hour

As another member said some time ago, it mostly depends on how much packed your colon is when the suppos are used, but that only applies to glycerin ones: other types are challenging even if empty beforehand (soap or Dulcolax). Glycerin ones, if empty, for me at least, can be retained an hour, or even a litte more so, with low-to-mild urges hitting that time. Full, 20-30 minutes max and then I'm VERY ready to go.
