How did you get to have first roleplay exam?

I’ve always been into medfet and dreamt about roleplays and meeting new people. With this being said, other than online contact have there been in person friendship origin stories that led up to a potential medfet play or do most people traditionally talk online and eventually meetup. Or is there a medfet congregation that’s held annually or something that bridges people together easier that I am missing out on. Also I am new to this platform, I’ve heard of recon and fetlife but both seem a bit iffy on meeting new people. To be fair people love all over the place, so I might be oblivious. What other apps or websites to people use nowadays to connect?
