You can also purchase lubricants that provide a numbing effect to reduce the pain, but that is not necessarily a good thing because pain is your guide. That is, the pain can warn you that you are damaging something so you would stop. With the numbing lube, you could unknowingly cause some damage because you are numb and don't feel the warning signal of pain that would normally cause you to stop before damaging anything.

I daresay I have plenty experience with lubes; I also have a sensitivity and thus am pretty choosy.

It's important to consider what material you're playing with;

- silicone, metal & glass is non-porous and needs a lubewith great wettability (that is a term). Silicone is the worst to stick to (lowest surface energy, glue that sticks to glass or metal sheds off silicone)

- vynil, tpu/tpr is porous enough that lube pockets are created.

- flesh is just perfectly porous and thus least demanding.

For silicone the above is my preference.

I have used:

J-lube - great, but a bit messy and contains saccharides

X-lube - better but messy

Silicone lubes: they do say silicone lube is NOT compatible with silicone toys and:

- pjur does create an adhesion layer and seems to bond with the toy. Very vigourus washing was required but no lasting toy damage.

- I found Longtime by german manufacturer Ritex which is perfectly compatible with silicone, but will cause some stick-slip (a firm #2).

The above hybrid lube contains silicone which is water-soluble. Very soothing, no stick-slip and aids a lot in recovery after an intense session.

I am not even discussing water-based lubes since they contain preservatives, and dessicate the cells (the hybrid lube above does dessicate but the effect is much, much less compared to water-based.

I use non friction lube formerly called fuck water. This is what I use for all my anal toys . It is silicone friendly and stays slick , you can just spray a little water on the toy or ass and instantly slippery again. I take large plugs all the time and never any pain and they eventually slip right in.

Wet Platinum is a good lube as it never dries out. Astroglide is great too. Both are good when using a finger during oral to completion.
