A hand-me-down spanking implement

Any adults here have a spanking implement that was used on them by a parent when they were still living at home? Is it a paddle, strap, belt, cane, etc? How did you come to have it. Did your parent pass it down to you or did you just take it? Are you now the receiver or the user? Include details, please.

Yes, it's just a piece of trim board that my father used on my brother once. I snatched it up and incorporated into one of my experiments or something so it was not clear what it was.

Not sure if this counts, but, there was this very lovely old transgender woman in the local leather scene named Miss Vicki. She was an amazing human and really taught us kids a lot back in the early 2000s. Vicki also looked out for players and was a bastion of info on kink history and a great many other topics. Total leather den mother. She even took those famous Efest West pics we did that you see posted everywhere- including on my page.

Anyway, she passed recently and I was able to get a really cool old wooden school paddle and one-flew-style medical restraints from her estate, so I feel like that counts as a multi generational implement of discipline. It wasn’t used on me( that I remember), but it was used, and will continue to be used for many years. Perhaps the perfect paddle to deliver bday swats to a few chosen ladies’ seats.

I have the "souvenir paddle" that my parents got on the Oregon coast during a family road trip. I found it in a box in my mom's garage after she passed on. I also have a belt from that era that was used on me me plenty. It was my belt so I hung onto it, not sure why -- it's way too small now. :-)

When I got married my mother gave my husband both a paddle and a hairbrush she had used on me during my growing up and young adult years. Both are stil used on a frequent basis whenever needed for beahvior correction or for other reasons. It's ok because is it alwasy mutually consensual with a never used safe word agreed to. Dense

The hairbrush my mother used is still at her house and I'm always tempted to just take it back with me one day.

I don't have one myself, but I do love knowing that an implement has a lot of history behind it. I visit a former headmaster who still has his various implements that were used throughout his career, including a slipper that was apparently handed down to him by the previous headmaster at a boarding school when he took over the role. I really enjoy knowing that I'm being punished with an implement that's been used on hundreds and hundreds of others over several decades.

I currently live in my parents' house and although they have both passed away I still have my mother's hairbrush and my father's wide leather belt that were both used to spank me when I was a kid.

I remember one particular belt my mom used. When I tried to get it for myself a few years ago, I found that it was no longer in the place where it had hung throughout my childhood.

I might still find some multi-purpose wooden spoons in the kitchen, but I can't tell them apart from the regular ones.

I don’t, but I recall my mom talking about a broken lawn mower belt that got used on her and my aunts and uncles. Sounded like it sort of got passed around the extended family at various points as well.
