Women: How do you keep limber for sex?

Ladies, this might sound silly, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed I’m not nearly as flexible as I used to be. When I was younger, putting my feet behind my head was no problem — now, not even close.

The other day, my husband and I had a longer-than-usual session (about 45 minutes to an hour), and it was amazing — I had multiple orgasms. But afterward, I could barely move because I’d been in the frog position for so long. I remember seeing a similar post before but can’t find it now.

So my question is: what do you do to stay flexible? Are there specific stretches or yoga routines that help? I’d love any advice!

I do some gymnastics in the morning for about 15 min. Not because of sex but for my well being. When I started and I stood up earlier for that, it was a bit of “was that really a good idea?” but now it became a habit for some years already. I do that during the week, not on weekends. It isn’t the only sportive thing I do but I have the feeling it helps me a lot to stay flexible and I feel better after it every morning.

I’m hyper-mobile so flexible isn’t the issue, but I do Pilates 4x a week

I remained limber well into my sixties, but as arthritis worsened, my joints' mobility greatly decreased. It's at its worst when I hold a single position for a long time--getting up from my seat at a theatre or on a plane really hurts, because I haven't been able to move around. I would think that holding your frog position for a long time is as much a factor as your flexibility. So that's something to consider, changing positions more frequently.

Before the arthritis downturn, I just bent, stretched, and twisted within my day-to-day movements. I exercised, but flexibility wasn't part of it. Parts of me remain fully flexible, but sexual positions are pretty limited now.
