How do you insert a rectal suppository?

Pointed or Blunt end first?

With or without lubricant?

What position? On your stomach, lying on your side, across someone’s lap or on your back (diaper position?

What are your reasons for your choices?!

I enjoyed my girlfriend in college using a Norforms applicator to insert different cold suppositories into my rectum by first inserting the pointed end into the applicator, squirting some lubricant on the end and just inserting the applicator just a little into my anus before pushing the plunger . I would feel the suppository slide through my anus into my rectum.

Place the pointed end against the opening of the anus (you probably don't need lube unless you prefer it), keep pushing it into the anal canal until the muscles of the internal sphincter pull it up into the rectum.

@buttdial I read that the best and correct way to insert a rectal suppository is BLUNT end first. The reason is that the suppository is pulled in by the sphincter and goes in and melts quicker!

@Luvbottomtemps That doesn't make sense to me, but by all means insert it the way you find most effective (or enjoyable).

Depends. Usually in squatting position with tip at first and without lube, as a suppository which is being warmed up is slippery enough. Tried it with blund end also, but it doesn‘t make much difference.

I try to get it as high as possible, therefore pushing it with middle finger as deep as possible.

Sometimes, while sitting because of travelling by car. It doesn‘t get that deep in that case, but it has a charm on it‘s own. 😉

- Pointed. It feels easier, even if there's little difference actually.

"With or without lubricant?"

- Lubricant, always.

- Mostly prefer bending over, usually the edge of the badtub, almost but not totally on four. I never tried squatting, but I might give it a try someday. Across someone's lap would be my ideal, but my lady is not there yet!

First of all I put on gloves of course. Take my underwear off and lay on my left side, I put some lube on my finger and then insert my finger into my rectum (i always pre-lubricate). I then take the suppository out of the foil wrapping and then put a little bit of lube on the tip. I then slowly place the suppository against my anus and slowly insert it until I completely insert my finger into my rectum. Ive been taking suppositories for a few weeks cause ive had persistent rectal itching for a few months. Its good that I have a doctors appointment soon

In the knee chest or the Sims position, I (personally...) like to put the suppository until the 'first sphincter' holds it a bit and then (most of the time)... when I clench my cheeks it goes right in deeply...Sometimes it requires a little push with my in index finger. With a bisacodyl suppository I wait until the urge is very strong...

When I give rectal suppositories I usually tell him to lay down prone on his stomach on the bed. After the boxers have been lowered I will use my left thumb and index finger to separate his butt cheeks and expose his rectal hole. I usually don’t use any lube or lotion when I give him suppositories, only if he asks for it, then I’ll give him a little of course. Then I push it in with my right index finger, with the pointed tip first. I usually hold my finger inside of his butt hole until I feel the suppository starting to melt. Then I gently pull my finger out.

Normally, I take a shower, then after drying off, while still nude, I put on a glove and stand with one leg on the tub or a chair if not in the bathroom. I put a little lube on my fingertip and lube my anal opening and just inside. then I take the suppository and place the pointed end to my hole, then push it as far in as my fingers will go, then keep my finger in place a minute, then slowly withdraw it and lie down on my side until it starts to take effect (Between 15 and 20 minutes usually.) Then I move my bowels and get dressed. I have also done it squatting, but it depends on how far up it needs to go (Hemorrhoidal or glycerin)

As for position: I've only used suppositories three times in my life, and each time, the positions were different. In early childhood (around age 3), my mother did it to me in a diaper position. I still remember how my legs would rise up, after which I couldn't see what was happening in front of me, but very quickly I'd feel my butt literally being torn apart from the inside, causing me to immediately start crying; not so much from pain, but from the shock of something incomprehensible happening. The second time, at 16, I did it myself, inserting the suppositories while squatting in the toilet. The third time, at 28 (this year), I did it while lying on my side in bed.

It's worth noting that the last two times I used suppositories were for medical reasons, so I only wanted to make it as comfortable as possible. If this were a game, I would of course prefer more sexual positions (for example, lying on my stomach or OTK).
