Restraint during Rectal Temperature.

I would not be able to prevent anything's I also was not cooperative, but not as loud. The only way you cold rebel with them pressing down on your low back to keep you still, was to try and push it out then tug on the therm constantly, but that didn't work either. Trying to reach behind to pull their hand away from your butt didn't work then they would push down on my shoulder to prevent that. It stayed in for 5 minutes not matter what, then re inserted for another minute to verify reading.

Has anyone else experienced restraint during rectal temps, given how squirmy it's natural to be?

Or maybe an assistant hold the patient's hands together over his head?

I can only remember having had my temperature taken rectally one time, it was when I was six or maybe seven. I must have been fairly sick and was taken to the clinic. I can remember sitting on the exam table and the nurse trying to get me to hold the thermometer in my mouth the way she wanted me to. Apparently I wasn't doing it the way she wanted. I heard her tell my mom she was going to take it in my bottom instead. I instantly started protesting saying no and pleading with my mom not to let her do it that way. My mom said something to her and then told me to come over to her. I refused at first and then was taken by the hand and gently pulled over to her where I was placed over her knees. I was kind of tucked up against her, in between her body and her arm. She squeezed me up against her so I couldn't move my upper body and then wrapped one of her legs over my legs to keep me from kicking my feet. The next thing I knew the nurse was taking my pants and underwear down, then the cool smooth feeling of the thermometer going up my butt. I can remember my mom telling me to stop fussing or I would break the thermometer off in my bottom. And then the nurse's hand on my my bottom to keep me from pushing the thermometer out. I have never thought about it as being restrained but I guess that is what it actually was. I also wonder if this isn't where a couple of my fetishs got started.

I would ask as i got a bit older around age 10 if the nurse was going to take my temperature from my "Bottom." Mom would simply reply, "You have to do as you're told. Don't embarrass me or you will get punished." She was hardly reluctant to spank! The inevitable always took place with mom making sure to tell me to undress once the nurse decided to get on with things. I had to undress to my briefs and then the nurse would make my get onto the table, and lay on my belly, then yank my briefs down past my knees. I surrendered or would whimper. It felt like it took forever!
