Has anyone had to be completely naked in front of a doctor and medical students?

I have never had such an experience but wondered if I'd be able to keep my cool. It would be challenging to not get an erection... especially if women students were in the room watching.

Speaking as a physician, it is extremely uncommon to have a fully naked person in front of you. Leaving SOME clothing in place, even if just a towel across a recumbent patients hips, was always drummed into me and my classmates and everyone else I've ever come across in the profession. The only fully naked "person " i interacted with was six months spent dissecting my cadaver in freshman anatomy lab.

That may have been common from the 1960s through early 1990s ( especially in Europe or Asia ) but nowadays I fear that changing societal attitudes and woke culture have relegated such quaint old practices to the sharps disposal bin of history.

When I was in the Navy and when I was going to the VA, it was not uncommon for doctors to have residents, interns, and students in tow. They would observe, assist, and sometimes perform the exam under supervision. "Modesty" was not really a thing, so yes, it did happen.

I wasn’t naked but I did get a DRE at a V.A. Clinic . Female student doctor performed it as the urologist observed. But never totally naked at any V.A. Appointments.,

My previous and current doctor has me remove my underwear for a genital and skin exam. Depending on the weather I tend to go running shirtless which from what I understand increases my chance of skin cancer. I had a new patient physical last week. My new doctor advised to me run shirtless only when it's unbearably hot and even then I should run on a treadmill when it is that hot because of my asthma. Being naked for a few minutes doesn't bother me. My doctor is doing their job and looking out for me.

I have not had to be completely naked, but during our high school sports physicals I had to drop my pants for a female medical student who administered the hernia and testicle exam under the supervision of a doctor who was training. We got a low cost physical for maybe $15 that went to our school athletic program and the medical students got to practice their exam techniques.

I'm gonna be absolutely blunt here. Any medical professional or medical student who DOESN'T expect a healthy young male to occasionally get a hardon under those specific circumstances must have the IQ and common sense of a used sanitary wipe 😆.

When I was a freshman in high school I was in jazz band and had to carry a big bass amp up two flights of stairs from the stage back to the band room after a concert. When I got home I had some abdominal pain and before I knew it my parents had concluded I has a hernia and had called to have the pediatrician stay late so he could exam me. This was well before webmd, etc. My dad rushed me to the pediatrician who got me from the waiting room himself and took me back as most of the nurses had gone home. My father came with me. The doctor told me to undress which I understood from past appointments meant down to underwear which were tighty wihities. He looked up from said paperwork and said “might as well take those off too they’ll just be in the way. Go ahead and take em off and hop up on the table. It’s the only time I’ve been completely naked not even socks or underwear around ankles. 100% nude. I was so embarrassed. My dad stood in a corner. It was the most thorough hernia exam I’d had lying down and standing up after which the doctor said he though the pain was muscular skeletal and I would probably be fine but to watch it. My dad and I drove home in silence me fuming at having to go through that because they freaked out because I said I had abdominal paid and also incredibly turned on at just having had a 100% nude exam. What a night.

I have already been completely naked in front of a female dermatologist during the entire exam but not in front of a student. but honestly, it's already very complicated not to get hard

Why did you have to be completely naked for allergy testing?

During my last (and only) dermatology exam, there was a med student present. The doctor decided to have a look at my genitals, so I stood and removed my underwear, leaving me completely nude. She took a look over my front side then I turned for her to examine my back, while the student and nurse watched on.

Hasn't happened to me despite having undergone my share of medical exams for a variety of reasons.

Spent months in hospital in the mid-1950's for a neurological disorder and was used as a teaching aid for more then one classroom of doctors-in-training, and never naked.

Military physicals (six total during my career) during which the closest to nakedness was dropping my trousers and boxers for a finger wave. Even the induction physical was done clothed except for a short period when we all stripped to our skivies for body insepctions for whatever they looked for.

After a heart attack I was placed in a bed from the gurney and stripped to everything except my boxers. There were four females nurses involved in the process and I made the mistake of asking, "Slow day?" Boy, did I get shushed!

A couple years ago I developed an infection in my reproductive tract and Doc had me drop my trousers and boxers to first check for a possible hernia.

Having accompanied my wife during a gynelogical exam, she remained covered and the Doc basically lifted the sheet covering her lower half for the exam. Wife kept her clothes on from waist up.

My understanding and experience indicate a naked medical exam or treatment is seldom, if ever, performed fto maintain the comfort of patient and practitioners alike.

I’ve allowed medical students to observe procedures involving my private parts. But I’ve never been completely naked in front of students or doctors.

Sure . I am naked for my gyno examinations. Their is a gown option I just choose not to wear it, and for a yearly test no option there everything comes off. I felt a bit vuleinerable at first then just became used to it. Just me the machines and the technicians. I secretly sort of enjoy it now.

On helicopter flight to the cardio cath lab, they took all my clothes and covered me in a blanket. Things are pretty fuzzy after landing, before becoming aware in the ICU with a gown. So, somewhere in there I was naked, and no idea who all was involved.

I'm 66 and in the last 20 years I've had many total body skin exams with my dermatologists. I've had four differnt female dermatologist over the years. For each exam there was always a younger female or male assistant present for note taking and at times pictures. For most of the TBSEs, I was completely naked with no covering at all. I was totally naked from the time they entered the room until the time they left the room. At times I've had erctions during the exams. They were noticed, but not really comment on as my erections were no big deal for me nor apparently for the doctor or assistant. I acted like a model patient but those experiences were very erotic for me. Great memories.

Yes, at a required medical exam during my final undergraduate year in University. About a dozen boys were examined at a time in a large open room with doctors, medical students and student nurses manning various stations in the room. We were told to undress completely and leave our clothes in an outer room. We then moved to various stations in the large examination room for various parts of the exam, all within sight of each other. The exam included both a genital and digital rectal exam, rectal temperature, blood pressure, scoliosis and posture check, reflex check, vision test, blood test and a tuberculosis skin test which required a second visit to the health clinic in a week to read the results.

I've had some clinics where the doctor requests a new doctor in training monitor the visit and learn things, but I don't think that was ever during a physical. Would be super okay with it though. I've heard some interesting tales about what med students practice when practicing for.. practicing. I have to imagine that kind of thing has dried up considerably these days.

I've always been naked in front of the family doctor, but there have never been any medical students

As a child, I was hospitalized for what turned out to be severe environmental allergies. I must have been there for 3 or 4 days. I was maybe 5 or 6. One morning my pediatrician visited with at least 4 or 5 other doctors. He stripped me naked, examined me, then got me down on the floor and said show these men the funny way you walk. So there I was, 5 , naked in front of all these fully dressed doctors, I remember they were all wearing ties. I had to walk back and forth across the room, fully naked. All of them staring at me, watching my every move. Even at 5 I felt embarrassed and vulnerable.

Years ago it was normal practice in the UK to be naked in front of the Doctor at the end of an examination.
