Laying awake at night I happened to start wondering how often I've had (real) sex during my life.
I calculated the 'average' frequency of around 3 times per week, adjusted for the span of my active sex life and came out at between 3 to 4 thousand. But then I started thinking about specific instances, ones that I can more or less place distinctively and recollect consciously enough to be a true memory, instances that I can recall with details.
And dang if I had trouble coming up with more than 25 instances and that included all the sex partners I've had over the years. 25 memories of having sex sure ain't many and no matter how I let my mind drift or think or not think, I seem to truly have forgotten about all except for a fraction of a percent. I find it kind of depressing.
So, since misery loves company, I'm wondering what the tally might be for other members? Mind you, for this to count, the memories have to be true and distinct, not just some number that would 'probably' be right. I mean really specific memories.
