Saw a dermatologist for some rash/blistering on my fingers that started up in February. Long wait to finally see a dematologist! When I finally got in, a lot of my symptoms, not all, had resolved somewhat. Turned it I had Chilblains, an issue where your fingers or toes get inflamed by being exposed to non freezing cold then rapidly warming up. Capillaries contract in the cold, then rapidly expand when warming up and leak blood into the surrounding tissue. In my case it was fingertips due to cold metal exposure in my workshop last February. Cracked, sensitive, swollen, inflamed - read painful - fingertips. Should clear up in warmer weather, expect it again next winter. Not a serious thing like diabetes or anything. Medical recommendation: wear gloves, avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee, soda, salt or anything else you enjoy. Be happy missing out on life!
After that she asked if I had any other areas on my body she should look at. Both she and the nurse were, young, hot and attractive!, My mind sped, could I claim itchy balls, anus etc but I respected her time, due diligence, and that I had no issues or reason to expose myself or waste her time. I’m sure others would have given the opportunity!
Anybody else have an issue with extremities (toes, fingers, nose, ears) during cold weather?
