Gaping to facilitate evacuation?

After expulsing the enema solution and emptying my bowels, I try to divert my attention from my sphincter reflex and maintain a gape and very mild prolapse for as long as I can, usually 2-3 minutes. This way I help my rectum/colon empty as much of the enema as possible so I won't have any urges or "accidents" later. However, it is not always easy and a few times my reflex just decides to shut close my sphincter right after evacuating. I avoid straining at all. I have no power over this when it happens other than proactively trying to distract my mind in some way (like playing a game on my cell). What is your experience? Any ideas how to maintain a mild gape without straining?

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but sometimes I’ll do an initial cleanout (either with a bulb syringe or the hanging bag with only ~4 oz or so of water, if you do more than some water will go up into your colon and it will be hard to stay clean for the next part) and then spend some time stretching my ass with toys. Then I’ll proceed into a typical enema session, except now my ass is nice and stretched. It definitely adds an additional layer to the struggle of trying to hold in the water when my ass is relaxed and loosened up. Great when combined with a retention plug and maybe a diaper in case of any accidents.

There is compounded medication petroleum jelly base that relaxes your sphincter and prevents spasm it costs like $30 a jar my insurance doesn’t cover it ,neither will yours .every diaper change my aide liberally applies it inside and out . Obviously I have hard stools tear my ass before this definately helps heal the damage and prevent future incidents where my sphincter is injured , now it stays calm and relaxed and just lets the stool pass by no anal tears or fissures .
