School group exams

I wasn't into sports and our schools never had exams at school that I know of. Both high school or college. So I am interested in hearing from guys that did experience groups exams at schools. Were they in the locker room, out in the gym or other space. Who was there other than the students. Where you in underwear most of the time or completely naked from the start. I have heard that if you were in Rotc in college that your exams were like military exams. Naked from the start. I have my doubts but let's share stories

I didn't play any sports but heard the stories from those who did. The old GP here (small town in Georgia) who did all the sports physicals for our high school and junior high didn't believe in gowns and did all stethoscope exams, male or female, any age from birth to death, bare chested. The girls who were his regular patients were used to it. They did refer to their annual athletic physicals as "showing our tits to Dr. Charlie."

I only recall 2 group exams in school. One was in Junior High where our class was lined up in our gym shorts and jockstraps in the boy's gym and went around to different stations for various parts of the exam. It was mostly checking our height and weight, listening to our heart and lungs with a stethoscope and checking our posture. At one station we had to lower our shorts and jockstrap for a check of genitals and anus. The other was during my graduating year in University when we were in groups of about a dozen and were naked for the whole exam going from one station to another but all within sight of each other. It was much more thorough and included a digital rectal exam, a urine sample, blood sample and a smallpox test.

Every August in my small town every guy who played sports would go to the locker room where the same “doctor” every year would quickly examine us. (Turns out he was a nurse practitioner) Waited in line… when you got near the front of the line you’d take your shirt off.

When it was your turn, he’d quickly check your eyes mouth nose ears, check your heart and lungs with a stethoscope… then he’d turn you so you were facing away from the line, pull down your shorts, grab your balls with one hand and poke his fingers of his other hand kinds of between your balls and your leg.

“Turn your head and cough. Again. Now the other side. Again. Okay young man you’re good to go!”

Years later I met a guy at a wedding who we figured out had married that guys daughter. I’d had a few beers and blurted out “wow, small world. Other than my wife, your father in law has touched my balls more than anyone on the planet!”

For football we were offered exams at the school and done in groups. Had us break into groups of 4 and get down to underwear and when doc came by they’d do the basics then reach in for hernia check

In my country annual medical check ups were done at school. And of course it was done in a group. We undressed to underwear and lined up one after another to have first taken weight, height, lung capacity, eyesight and further down the line to be seen by a paediatrician who usually would come from a local paediatric polyclinic. Twice over the school years we were seen by several specialists in addition to a paediatrician.

The only thing that was done at my schools in a group was the BCG injection, eyes and ears test, dental check up and hair check for head lice.

For all of these we had to line up as a class and wait for the nurse to see us while the rest of the class watched on. Even for the injection , we just had to roll up our sleeves and there was no undressing at all in the group environment.

The full school medicals were always done in private and were carried out in one of the school offices. I remember mine were done in what was usually the school secretary's office that had a temporary exam table in there.

We were called from class one at a time to go and see the doctor. The only thing you may have seen was one one your school friends emerging from the office fully dressed after their medical before you were called in.

These full medicals always started with you fully dressed while some questions were asked and the eyes and ears check carried out. You were then required to strip completely naked for the rest of the medical which included a thorough genital exam.

Lung capacity is an interesting one. I've not seen it mentioned by others. I assume it involved blowing into a measuring instrument. It makes sense as a screening test for identifying respiratory issues. (I don't remember ever doing such a test, even at the doctors, and I have asthma.)

At middle school, in France, in the 60's, we had each year a thorough physical examination even if it was not specific to sport activities, and among all the exams performed, there was a always a measurement of our lung capacity with a spirometer while standing in just brief in front of female doctor and female school nurse

We had not the same exam at high school, it was also a thorough exam each year but without the measurement of the lung capactity, so it was only done between 11 and 14 -15 age.

at your group physical exam at school when junior high, in the boy's gym with just a gym short and a jockstrap, if you were examined in line one by one, were you exposed to the sight of the other boys in line when you were instructed to lower shorts and jockstraps for a check of genitals and anus ?.

Were you supervised by a Pe teacher or a coach in the gym while standing in line undressed ?

And later did he saw you during your exam, even the most intimate part when you were exposing your genital or your anus ?

At your second group physical exam during your graduating year of university, it seems that it was very similar to a military exam of draftees or a ROTC exam with a group of twelve students stark naked going from one station to an other one, but you write that it was without exposure to the others, I don't understand how you could be protected from the sight of the others except if there was in front of each station a partition, but even in that case I presume that you were exposed openly when walking to go from one station to an other one ? were you supervised by Pe teachers or coaches ?

Exactly. We would inhale as much as possible and then exhale as much as possible into the tube of the measurement thing. As far as I remember my capacity was around 4.5 litres.
