Glad you were able to connect with someone for possible in-person play! Out of curiosity, is this your first medical play exam ever, or just a new play doctor you're going to play with? I would suggest meeting over facetime or similar video-ing app prior to meeting, so that you can at get familiar with each other and rehash anything that you need clarification on.
Below are some things I would have some detail on prior to going in for the play exam.
- if using a hotel, how are the costs of the hotel being paid for?
- Is it just you and your play doctor, or are other people being involved?
- is there anything you need to bring for the exam?
- state of undress for the exam
- outline of the things that your play doctor will do during the exam. Also - if you are looking for a particular flavor of exam (ex. teen/puberty, realistic vs. erotic, etc.) establish that too.
- do you want any photos or videos of the play exam? How will that be handled?
Sounds like you've given thought to boundaries, which is great!
- Establish if there are particular things that you as the play patient really want in the exam or handled in a particular way, and make sure your play doctor is on board with those requests. The play doctor also has a vote in what they are comfortable with too.
- Be specific about things that are totally off limits/hard red lines on. For example, if you don't want urethral sounding or use of an anoscope, then you need to make clear that those are off limits for you. Likewise, your play doctor also can say if there are things they are not okay with.
Lastly, 100% be specific regarding anything that involves your genitals or sexual activity. For most, play exams involve elements of eroticism or are a sexual experience, but that also means that you need both parties to be 100% consenting. Maybe you are okay with having a genital exam, but not having your play doctor stimulate you to orgasm. Maybe you want the play doctor to masturbate you, but they want to have sex. Maybe both you are okay with sex. Not sure what you are looking for in the exam, but critical that you and your play doctor know what is okay or not okay to have happen from a sexual standpoint in the exam.
