Do you wear underwear to your exam?

Yes. I always wear freshly washed underwear to doctors visits.

Yeah, I pretty much always change clothes and bathe before a doctor appointment, and that includes underwear. I do remember going to the ER one time and being asked to put on a gown, but the nurse told me "if you didnt wear underwear thats fine, just take everything off and put the gown on", so I imagine its probably a common thing

Yes. Even if they have to come off I do. With all the lube and other bodily issues I need some sort of barrier between my vagina and my pants.

Nope. It all comes off, so why bother making myself uncomfortable?

I always wear underwear to a scheduled exam only because occasionally a gown is not offered and explaining why I would need one would be embarrassing. Occasionally I am asked to remove everything and put a gown on but that's usually at either the urologist or for my yearly exam.

I don't wear underwear even when I know they won't be removed like cardiologist or dentist exams but I want to get as hard as possible to enjoy the exams to the fullest

On a daily basis I don’t wear underwear. In the past when I had an exam (annual physical, urological, or dermatological etc.) I would put on underwear for my exam in anticipation that I would have to change into a gown. In the past sometimes the nurse would say “everything off” or “leave your underwear on and put on a gown”. Although, in the last 5 years at any of my exams I have not been told to undress and put on a gown. I don’t know if it is because now I am on Medicare (which doesn’t compensate the doctors as much as private insurance) or if the medical profession is more concerned about modesty and having a patient change into a gown takes up more time in the exam room and reduces how many patients they can see. So, I stopped purposely putting on underwear for an exam. I now go to my exam’s commando.

I tend to go commando most days that I am not at work. For medical visits I tend to go commando since this day and age we really never take off much clothing. My last couple of physical exams I have had to strip to my underwear so I have been wearing underwear. I made the mistake of going commando to a new doc and was asked to strip to my underwear which I was not wearing any. The doc just laughed it off saying, "well, this is TX and it is hot".

Yes, I wear boxer briefs to an exam or a visit to the doctor. My last full physical exam, I wore red Levi boxers to it and and my last visit to the doctor for stomach pains I took my top off exposing the waistband of my Spiderman boxers above my jeans.

Yes, I wear cotton bikini panties to the doctor, even though they usually aren't on during the exam.

I second what @Bad_Princess wrote. Most of my doctors’ appointments involve having to take off everything below the waist and I don’t care for underwear anyway so I don’t bother wearing anything except for a bra (for my own comfort more than anything else). I may bring a pair of panties to wear on the way home after whatever test or procedure I get done. I find it oddly comforting after having been pretty exposed for the duration of the visit.

If it is just a trip to a GP I will wear a bra and panties but those are rare occurrences.

I usually do not wear underwear and don't usually wear any for the doctor appointments, because these days I'm almost never asked to remove any clothing. Nor do they ever touch me or approach me during my exams. It all seems to be a mental health related thing. As in "how do you feel about your medications?" Or "do you think your condition can be attributed to....?"

Anyway I do have a few stories from years ago.

I recall several different nurses/assistants telling me to get undressed, BUT LEAVE YOUR UNDERWEAR ON, and put on the gown. They always just think everyone wears underwear?

I went in for an elective surgery on my upper back. I understood it would take less than 30 minutes but they would put me under anyway. I wore underwear that day. The very young nurse brought me into a curtain room, where everyone on the bay could hear everyone. She went over my vitals, meds, diet, prep, and talked about after surgery release and care. She then told me to remove everything, while pating her own hips, and telling me to only wear the gown and the surgical socks.

I didn't recall them asking me to remove the wrap around gown before they put me under. And I'm pretty sure they had to remove most of the gown to perform the operation. So I'm sure I was nude at some point in the operating room, while not awake?

I almost never wear underwear, so I don't put them on just to go to the doctor. In the rare instance I am wearing underwear, it's a cotton thong, since that's all I own.

I wear briefs generally so that’s what I’ve worn to all of my recent doctors appointments.
