How long have you known of your cardiophilia?

I also find it absolutely incredible that so many of us have gone through such similar feelings and experiences at an age when there would have been no internet or social media in which "cardiophile" could be defined or experienced as a community.

An integral part of the intense feelings for stethoscopes, heartbeats, breathing etc, was the sense that it was unique, and no one else in the world could possibly be of a similar inclination. How funny now to recall those times!

Probably since I was 5 or 6. I can always remember begin nervous/excited whenever I saw a stethoscope. Eventually, I got one as a birthday or Christmas gift and jumped at any opportunity to use it on someone.

Since I was about 7 years old, when I found an old stethoscope and blood pressure monitor.
