Bag Height

I almost always start with a high and fast enema. Love the gushing of it. I’ll slow down as needed in the middle but try to get back to full flow again for the last of it.

I have a hook located near the top of the door frame in my bathroom and use it to hang my bag while taking enemas sitting on the toilet. I like a fast fill.

I have done it with the bag up 6 ft with hot water and a lot of soap and it goes in so fast it feels great. I would say the bag empties in about a minute and that's a four qt bag

There is a towel hook next to the shower that is 4 ft off the floor. If I'm using the bag that puts its bottom outlet at about 3 ft, but with the enema can a couple of inches higher. I like slow, comfortable enemas so even then the clamp is never full open.

I always take my high enemas using an irrigator (can) standing approx. 40 cm higher than my bottom. By this way, the mild soapy solution enters my colon very slow and it takes around 10 to 15 minutes for a 2 litre enema.

I normally hang the bag on a robe hook, The bottom of the bag would be a bit less than 48 inches above the floor or about 30 inches above me in the knee chest position. Variations include shower curtain height which can be a bit uncomfortable and vanity to height which permits a slow flow.

One of the aspects of sharing enemas with another, is that the enema bag can be raised and lowered, as desired or necessary, to make the process as enjoyable or effective for the receiver.

The usual recommended bag height in medical texts has been 18-24 inches. A slower flow usually can be retained for a desired timeframe. A faster flow often triggers the reflex in the bowel to expel asap.

Either way, an enema can help produce the desired outcum depending on circumstances and situations.

I have a decorative hook in the ceiling above my bed that the former owner left, it's only logical use was for enemas but I'll never know for sure. the hook is almost 7' above the floor so I use a chain to put the bottom of the bag at 3.5' above the bed. As for delivery if I just want a quickie I'll use a combo bag. I also have a adjustable speed peristaltic pump that I connect to my combo bag for pulses of water. But if I'm in a playful mood I use my pump system. I fill a 2.5 gallon bucket and put a small submersible fountain pump in the bucket with the hose in the top of an clear open top bag. The pump is controlled by an adjustable on/off timer (usually set for 5 seconds on and 5 to 10 seconds off) or sometimes I use a push button to control the pump. I watch as the water level rises and drops as I fill. This allows multiple fills without refilling the bag! So I mostly always use a 3.5' height sometimes 4'. I used to have a stretch rubber setup that started with bottom of a full bag at 12" rising to 4' as the bag emptied. I discarded it when the rubber broke dropping a partial bag of water on me! Great question and my answer is do what feels good. I’ve used adjustable hose clamps to control the flow. Bag height? Depends on the bag, the nozzle and really, how it feels going in😍 I’ve hung bags to hooks at ceiling height (around 7’),on the towel rack, shower curtain rod and the shower head🤪I’ve used in-line siphon bulbs on my tubing so bag height can be level with your body😉They restrict the flow when not being squeezed so you can hang the bag higher. But It feels so good to pump and pulse while filling. A combination syringe bag can be filled by hanging a open-top bag on the shower rod with the bag on the floor😍I took my 1st gallon enema back in the eighties like that😈

Right now I’m pumping 2 1/2 quarts of a green tea enema in to me. The bag is actually below my reclining body on my bed😈My in-line siphon bulb is one way and the pulsing of my squeezing it makes me throb😍

I've been reading about your various slow enemas, my sister Tess got a very slow enema by accident when she was about 12YO. I posted this somewhere else but I don't remember where. So here's her "very slow enema" story for your enjoyment.

Tess called me telling about an enema mom gave her about a year after we moved from the farm to Philadelphia when she was around 12 YO. I must have been out playing as I would have remembered this. Her husband had put a ceiling fan in their bedroom a few weeks before that triggered this memory. Tess was going to take an enema laying on her bed with the bag hanging from coat hangers over the fan blades like mom took her enemas after we moved. Here it is in her own words. "It had been several weeks since my last enema so after not finishing lunch and picking at dinner food, mom asked me if I was feeling alright, I just shrugged, now I was pretty sure I was going to get an enema. So after mom cleaned the kitchen, she went to the bathroom and fixed the enema and called me to my room where she put hangers over the fan blades above my bed. Mom gave me enemas like this several times so it wasn't new to me. She handed me the rubber sheet and bath towels, and for appearances all the while I'm insisting that I don't need an enema. I put the rubber sheet on my bed, put two bath towels on it, took my pants and undies off, and laid on the bed on my stomach. Mom hung the bag from the hangers which was about as high as when she used to hold it up. She spread my butt cheeks and I felt the insertion. I heard the CLICK and felt the water start, then the door bell rang. Mom clicked it off saying I'll see who that is, be right back. I heard mom say hi to my aunt Linda and I could hear them talking including conversation about just getting ready to give me an enema. They talked for a few minutes, meanwhile I'm laying there with the enema nozzle in my butt, and I'm starting to feel like the enema is starting to work. I didn't think that little bit of water could have caused that feeling so I called out to mom. She and aunt Linda came in, mom asked if I took the enema by myself, I said no but the bag was almost empty. Mom opened the clamp and I took the last little bit of water. I could only see the back of the bag in my mirror so I didn't realize that the enema was just trickling in me and as it was flowing very slowly I didn't really feel it. Mom said that she was sorry, she apparently didn't close the clamp all the way, and I missed the feeling of getting filled!"

I sually have the bag 2-3 feet above the nozzle as I enjoy a nice slow enema. It extends the enjoyment time, lessens the possibiltiy of cramps, and in summary is very enjoyable more ways than one. Afterward all the internal impurities have been purged out, a nice long warm shower and I feel squeaky clean inside and out!! Denise

@Denise . I, like you, enjoy a nice relaxing fill, so the bag is hung so the bottom of the bag is about eighteen inches above my bottom and the clamp only just open. I use the Simms position as I find the knee chest one uncomfortable. I have a Higginson syringe in the line if feel a little pump might help.

We have a matching bidet beside the toilet in our ensuite, so I can wash between my legs and go back to sleeping blonde. Shower comes later!

Never more than 18-24 inches for me. I enjoy a slow, relaxing enema and savoring the feeling of being filled gradually. For me it greatly delays the need to evacuate.

I like my e bucket about 2.75 to 3ft high above me - As the tubing is a 1/4 inch inner diameter of the 'silicone flavor'. This way I can enjoy my sea salt and / or baking soda buffered mix at a decent - but not too high pressure. When I use a bit of 'Vitamin B' (brandy) (500ml to 750ml) I can regulate it a bit and really enjoy the 'moment'.

If I were to use a bag with larger tubing it would be lower (2ft +-) to accommodate the larger hose and better flow. But(t?), I have been happy with my e bucket with the rigid style barium nozzle for a a bit over a year or so now.

I am no expert on enema safety. I have found I like a strong fill. The bag hangs roughly shoulder height from where the hose attaches. I lay on the floor.

Higher than this makes me resist the flow, and cramps me up. The flow of the enema is cut off or strangled to a dribble.

Lower works, but is a bit weak for my liking.

This may be better than using a tape measure. Heights change. Enema pressure and height of the receiver may have some correlation.

It depends on the position in which I take the enema. If I am standing, I need more pressure for the enema to flow, often 1.5 meters between the bag and the nozzle.

On the other hand, if I am lying on my back, there is no problem for me to fill easily with a lower bag height. When placing the bag very high, it is better to limit the flow with the clamp or the tap.

I usually take my enemas from an open top silicone bag hanging from the shower curtain while standing. This puts the top of the bag about four feet above the target, but just above three feet if measuring from the bottom of the bag where the liquid actually flows from. I’ve tried slower flow rates by lowering the bag, and it’s okay, but nothing beats the rush of trying to take it full blast. I often have to back off of the flow with the clip, but it’s really nice when everything just flows well.

I have a plastic chain hanging over the bar above the shower door. I can adjust the open four-quart silicone bag to any height, but it is typically about three feet above the floor. I usually have the Higginson pump inline as well which slows the flow everso slightly, and allows me to pump it in a little faster whenever I choose. Makes for a nice combination of faster or slower to suit my pleasure in the very moment.

For me the bag height can vary with what hanging opportunities are available. I control the flow rate with the hose clamp.

I realize this discussion is one year old, but I wanted to add my two cents worth.

I like the bag high because I like the feeling of a rapid flow.

I once found a weight the same as a full two quart bag, got a rope and pulley and hung the pulley on a shower curtain rod. As the bag emptied the enema into me, it got lighter and lighter, allowing the weight to pull it up higher and higher, thus increasing the flow rate.

It was a great experience. I will definitely do this often.

Shortly after getting my most recent set, I equipped it with ten feet of latex hose. Not because I wanted that much height, but to make it easy and convenient to try out novel positions without having a short hose jerk the nozzle out at an "inconvenient" time. With the amount of freedom provided by the long hose, I've found that its fun to put the bag up pretty high and throttle down the flow with the clamp. The flow is deliciously slow, but not to be denied. One caution is needed however, if something actually stops the flow, you will experience the full pressure from the overly high bag. I've never had that happen. The full warm bag generally flows in without any significant cramps. Works for me, but probably would suck for someone that gets off on the cramping 😃

I feel it’s very important to be able to see the enema bag as it’s flowing in me so when I’m laying on my sauna bench I make sure the enema bag is high enough for me to watch it. I control the flow with the enema clamp on the hose. We actually use 2 different clamps a vintage metal clamp that when it’s closed it’s closed then we have an adjustable plastic white clamp to control flow .also we always have and use an inline hand pump that we find so important to help take the enema much deeper and when you think you can’t take anymore a gentle squeeze of the inline pump helps push the warm water in . We feel that an inline pump is a very important enema tool to have.

Flow indicator or waterwheel . . .

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have a plastic chain that I hang over the bar above the shower door. With a couple of metal hooks, I can adjust the enema bag to the right height to get the right flow-rate.

Additionally, I have a little green “ACS – Wheel Liquid Flow Indicator” which is a simple waterwheel inserted in-line with the tubing so I can "see" that the water is flowing. I don't know the actual flow-rate in quarts or litres per minute, but I like the visual of the spinning wheel. Sometimes it just creeps along in a slow and faltering spin as it waits with me for my insides to open up so more water can flow in. Other times, I may NOT be feeling the water flowing inside me, but the waterwheel is spinning for all it’s worth (all of $14.00 at siliconenozzles.com) and I know the enema is doing its job, whether I feel it or not.
