Wearing fem clothes in public

I have noticed a trend toward straight and bi men dressing in more feminine styles lately, especially among younger college aged men. As I've grown older I tend to prefer more fem or androgynous styles mostly around the house with a few exceptions like Halloween and Mardi Gras. I do wear panties in public but i don't consider that as only my wife and I know about it. I'm curious if others have noticed the trend and what you wear to get a more feminine feel when going out or what you suggest to take the next step. I know that celebs and musicians have always pushed the boundaries, so I'm not counting them in the discussion.

I have noticed that pastels and former "girly" colors (pink, purple, and even florals) are a part of the male choices when shopping. In our rural area it is not common to see too much "fem clothes" being worn by men. But in the city it can be seen.

We even saw an older "gentleman" wearing a dress and heels a few years ago. He was confident and happy so who am I to say it is not right to do.

Could a major reason be the availability of less masculine looking clothing being available? I have several pastel colored button shirts and T-shirts I wear, nylon over the calf socks for men, pastel and prints boxer shorts, etc. These are all designed and manufactured to fit males, but the general appearance really bends towards "feminine". But that's not why I wear them. They are comfortable, more so than like-articles made for men. The shirts and boxers are made from ice silk, a form of rayon and they fit snugley due to the strech of the material, are great at wicking away sweat, and a number of them actually cool the skin.

So the uptick in men wearing feminine appearing clothing is more likely availability and comfort rather than an attempt at appearing feminine. Not that it doesn't happen, just that these days the attempts need to be more obvious.

More likely just changing styles. As a teenager I can remember floral shirts being very in fashion and my father laughing as he remembered similar being in vogue 20 years previously.

I exclusively wear ladies clothes. There are tons that at first glance don't appear womens and are more androgynous. It helps that I'm a smaller build but I rarely wear anything bought from the men's section.

Colorful fabrics don't make clothing 'fem' by themselves. I think it's the cut of the clothing. If a shirt buttons right over left, that's fem. A blouse buttoned R over L, bust darts and darts to reduce to narrower waist is obviously fem. I'm a full time cross-dresser; I wear women's clothing--meant for women to wear. The colors and fabrics I prefer are pretty bland, as I'm a professional (accountant), and have to look like one at work. I usually wear a suit: jacket, nice blouse, straight skirt, stockings & pumps. I get to wear nice lingerie. Men only wear black, shades of gray or blues. However I like green, maroon, and shades of purple. Alas, all these nice clothes cost a lot money. I do enjoy brighter colors in dresses.

I have, (and most likely will again) worn a skirt and panties, with the rest of my clothes are male. I have only done this at known "cruising" locations where there are folks that are lie-minded. I will stay in my car until the parking lot is clear of people that I do not want to offend. Then get out and walk the trails in the nearby woods. I've had men that lift up my skirt to see what's underneath...

I'm just starting heavily getting started in full male to female crossdressing. I found a wonderful crossdressing and transgender store. They have everything a person needs from male to female. I mean everything with a huge selection that is very reasonable in price.

They have all sizes, designs, colors to meet your crossdressing and transition needs. From clothing, hosiery, wigs, girdles, bras, makeup and breast forms.

I've made the three hour trip twice to get fitted correctly. Ladies clothing sizes drive absolutely crazy. I currently have a girdle, pocket bra with silicone breast forms, dress, women's jeans, hosiery high platform shoes and 3 blouses.

Both times I got a total make over done. I bought the most of the clothing the first time. Obviously wearing my new make over throughout the store and my journey home. The second time I stop at the dive thru of McDonald's and paraded around the local mal all dressed up.

The past to weeks I've been working on doing my makeup myself. The more I do the more I want to crossdress. Next weekend I have a professional makeup training session scheduled. I will be dressed completely as a crossdresser including wearing my breast forms.

I'm very comfortable being out in public crossdressed. It was so much easier than wearing disposable diapers when I became incontinent.
