Have you ever tried keeping your foreskin permanently retracted?

I have met some men who keep their foreskin permanently retracted, since nobody else has mentioned it this is referred to as autocircumcision and there’s plenty of examples on the internet on why/how etc.

Used relatively loose plastic ring for 323 days (yeah, I was keeping track). First few days was a hell because of sensitivity, but I became quickly used to that. It was interesting to watch how skin there change. Glans skin just dried up without major change, but foreskin itself (especially frenulum zone) changed color from rosy to natural skin color, and changed texture - from sleek mucous membrane, to something resembling skin on inner elbow: more durable, but elastic.

Got back to natural state long ago, but still thinking on circumcision (for a five years now, but still)

With my numerous retraction attempts I never made it as far as the skin changes but after the circ there was a kind of post-sunburn effect where the skin on the glans flaked off and the tougher skin underneath emerged. It was a surprise for me at the time because I hadn't been warned about it. I suppose you were more gentle on yourself than I was. The first two weeks post-surgery are a wild ride!

Starting to experiment with it in my late teens. Love the clean look it gives. Practice makes perfect and if I am not wearing tight boxers that may pull my skin back and forth, it stays pretty much back even when completely flaccid. And regarding the trapped hair issues mentioned so frequently here, I opted for a regular shave and prefer the hairless look.

I suppose you were more gentle on yourself than I was.

I didn't pay much attention to it, to be honest. Maybe tight briefs helped. Or maybe you have different experience because of circumcision itself - after all I still had my foreskin perfectly intact, just folded behind the glans. I had molting effect as well, but mainly on glans

When I was younger and starting in relationships, I had an extremely sensitive glans - still do - and suffered from very rapid ejaculation. This, along with other unrelated difficulties, caused lots of issues in relationships. Eventually in a more stable relationship my partner suggested trying to keep my foreskin retracted so keep the glans exposed. We tried lots of methods we found mentioned in books (we didn't have internet back then), but none of them seemed to work & my foreskin rapidly returned to cover my glans. Eventually she discovered a device that was designed to "stretch" the penis & keep it "supported" to aid with intercourse in men who struggled to achieve erection. In using this device, it pulled the foreskin back. We tried this device for a period of time & while i could only wear it at home - couldn't go to work with my penis looking like i had a permanent erection 😳 - it did start to have some effect. Initially I found the exposure very painful as clothes rubbed against my glans, and there were lots of unwanted ejaculations 😳. Over a period of time, while we didn't allow the glans to completely dry and "toughen" I did seem to loose a bit of the sensitivity (we both loved the movemebt of the foreskin and feelign of the natural glans). Overall this was a mixed experience, but did have a bit of benefit in reducing sensitivity.

In practice, I retract my foreskin, and it can stay in place under the glans, without returning to its initial position.

In my experience, the contact of the glans with my clothing was unpleasant, but not painful.

At the end of the second attempt, a small swelling, smaller than a pea, appeared, and I managed to retract the foreskin back into its initial position.

For those who practice permanent foreskin retraction, aren't you concerned about the risk of paraphimosis?

I guess that paraphimosis is only a problem once you start stretching your foreskin, no matter if it's, in younger years, to expose your glans in the first place, or if it's for keeping your foreskin retracted permanently. Just like sore muscles. Once your muscles get used to a certain workout, they'll tolerate it without any problems.

I would think that keeping the foreskin retracted or retracting it frequently would be beneficial in anticipation of an upcoming circumcision. This could allow the male to get used to the permanent exposure and desensitization of the glans once the foreskin gets surgically removed. What I do not know is how easy or difficult it can be to achieve if the foreskin is excessively long or too tight.

Also, the foreskin isn't a muscle. It has a fundamentally unique layered structure: a very stretchable epithelium on the outside and almost inflexible mucosal membrane on the underside. You can't really work these tissues to a desirable size or shape as you normally would when exercising a bicep, although some uncircumcised men would disagree.
