If you read through the forum topics, it is obvious that most of the members who live out the enema fetish are almost all over 60 years old. Including me, of course.

This is certainly due to the fact that the use of enemas was previously widespread.

Are we “old people” the only ones who still hold the flag high?

@Adrian6 I'm still less than 50 and I like enemas, despite not getting them as a child. However I came to enemas, I think, from rectal temperatures, suppositories, and digital rectal exams, which I definitely got as a child. Now rectal temperatures and suppositories have largely fallen out of favor, even in France, and digital rectal exams are no longer done for the reason I experienced them…

I’ve noticed this as well Adrian yet have gotten into them later in life at roughly 55 and have pleasantly found myself trying to catch up with others. Never had one as a child so I’m a late learner here on Zity.

It seems to me that most of us here are “older”. Looking at myself, I think that there are reasons for this. As a kid and up through the teenage years you are not likely to admit that you like getting an enema, even if you are already giving them to yourself. Then as a young adult you are more focused on building a career and relationships and enemas are not usually a part of that. Then with a wife and kids in the household, privacy and time may be the constraints. Once we retire, we typically have more free time, privacy, and opportunity to enjoy enemas alone or with others. As well as the time and interest for places like this where we can share our experiences.

Many of us here learned about enemas at home as kids, whether we liked them at the time or not. Today, I expect that kids are not learning about enemas at home, but more likely online, as a component of kinky sex. Are they doing it but just not talking about it here? Maybe some other place?

I think there are plenty of younger people doing enemas otherwise why all the equipment on line Walmart,Amazon,OHN and EBay and Silicone nozzles.com. Not many bring this up at a party unless it’s that kind of party. It can’t just be us boomers buying the enema equipment. We chat on line they are out in the world in the bars and everywhere else. The fetish party here in Denver is mostly younger people they have a ball every year and it’s well attended. Effectively we are out of the loop…

Interesting you say that. Back in the late fifties, once our RN grandmother taught us personal hygiene and enemas became our responsibility. Not being really sure how our newly found enema freedom would be received. My siblings and I kept our enema activities private, be they solo or swapping enemas with one another. The only people outside of ourselves who were aware of our activities were our two young aunts and close friends within our own age group. And from what I’ve seen over the last seventy plus years, nothing much has changed if at all.

While I agree that many of the younger generation are using enemas and the various equipment found online and occasionally in brick and mortar stores, I suspect it is mainly us older farts who enjoy the fetishistic or paraphilic aspect. The vintage equipment tended to add some ambience, or some degree of stimulation, to the vagal nervous system and trigger those involuntary reactions.

The more "modern" generation are seemingly content with detox, cleansing, and natural health aspects. Those aspects are likely just some justification for our obsessive attraction that was borne out of being subjected by mom, grandma, aunts, and others. I've often maintained that my enema indulgences from a very young age, were initially a survival instinct until I reached puberty, and the outcum was never again to be denied.

Those beautiful types who post videos and podcasts seem to be able to utilize enemas for purely asexual and healthy aspects. Not so, for most of us who really enjoy the sensations, R&R, and those orgasmic or "happiest endings"!

Then again, I am on the downhill side of life, sometimes wrong, a little haywire in my perceptions, and just secretly hoping I may again enjoy an enema from a cute nurse, or perhaps a very experienced lady who knows her way around an enema bag.
