A Soap Story

I'd like to frame this post a little before I ask my questions, but if you want the quick and dirty, skip ahead!

First off, I just wanted to say that this entire forum is amazing! I only found it about a week ago and have been reading through the years of stories, experiences, and advice topics since. Thank you everyone that has contributed so far and will in the future. In addition to the members here, there are certainly many lurkers that sincerely appreciate your outstanding posts! Today I finally decided to take the plunge in both trying new things and also joining this community.

I'm not quite a novice or beginner when it comes to anal play, but I'm definitely no expert. Been playing since I was a teen (with a few very embarrassing incidents, though that's for another post). Until now, I've always just responded to urges with little planning. The occasional clear water enema from a shower or hose and I've never tried a suppository before. Obviously plenty of dildos, but again, another story. After reading the enema and suppository threads here, I had finally found what I never knew I needed. The idea of homemade enemas and suppositories changed me. I've never had a medical fetish but gathering household items, originally meant for another purpose, for a medical and/or pleasurable experience ignited a new kink; Something I've not felt in years. I had to dig deeper 😉

Today, with supplies gathered, I started the day with a soap stick suppository. Ivory, thick and perfectly shaped. I sat with anticipation and even started a timer to see how long I would last. 15 minutes. 30. 60. Nothing. If I had not remembered that I had indeed placed said suppository, I would never have assumed it was melting silently in my rectum. I injected about 30ml of warm water, hoping it might move things along. Nothing. I went to the toilet a bit later, out of disappointment, and sure enough, only the tiniest sliver of white appeared. To say the least, I was discouraged. But fear not! I had more plans for day.

About 8 hours later, it was time for the enema I had planned to close out today. Going into it a somewhat jaded, I decide, screw that standard advice of 0.5-1 tablespoon of Dr. Bronner's Castile soap per cup. 12 tablespoons for my puny 1.75ml bag (7.3 cup) would be fine, given my lack of response earlier in the day. Laying down on my shower bench, warm bag dangling seductively above me and inflatable nozzle already inserted, I released the flow. Instantly I felt the contractions as the sudsy water hit my rectum. It was wonderful. Over the next few minutes the sensations ebbed and flowed through my bowels. At about the halfway point in the bag my body responded, as violent and involuntary as it was amazing. If the nozzle had not be firmly secured my bathroom wall would have been many shades of brown. I tried to go longer, but I was done slightly over halfway.

So, down to the brass tacks. The soaps suds enema was exhilarating. I will be doing it again shortly, though next time with a BIT milder solution. I'd like to at least be able to take the full bag and hold it for a little while. The soap sticks? Not so much. My reason for posting like this is to ask: Did I do something wrong? Should I have waited longer than an hour or perhaps tried more soap? Should I try a different kind next time (like Dove)? Has anyone had a similar non-reaction? As I said above, I'm not really into store bought medication; The very idea of using soap or other household items for these purposes IS the appeal to me.

I will probably try again with the ivory and dove at some point and intend to make my own with glycerin and various additives, but I'm kind of surprised by this result, or lack thereof. I welcome and appreciate any and all advice or comments! I'm so excited to find such an amazing place with such storied peoples!

Yes you did something wrong. Way way too much soap. This sort of indulgence can burn you internally without you even knowing it is happening since there are no sensory nerves inside to give warnings, damage your liver and kidneys, and at the least totally destroy your electrolyte balance and kill your bowl and intestinal flora.

None of this is good. One or two drops of Dr. Bronners soap alone is more than enough to do the job.

Oh, I totally know I messed up the enema, no party to be pooped there (well, except... y'know).

I flushed out a few times after, hopefully things will balance out.

Mainly I was wondering why the soap sticks had no noticeable effect all.

Hey, you didn't do anything wrong with the soap suppositories. Pay attention to the size and put them in warm water for 10 minutes before inserting them, then they will work more intensively.

@Fluid My mom used to give me big soap sticks all the time. She pushed them in finger length over her lap and held them in til they melted. They were pretty soft when inserted. Once she thought it was melted enough, she would let me sit on the toilet for another 5 min. at which time I would be squirming and begging her to let me poop. The would make me strain for another 15 min. I'd have diarrhea on and off for the rest of the day.

When my Mom gave me Ivory soap sticks when she had run out of glycerin suppositories she carved them as thick as her finger at one end and tapered to a rounded point at the other. They were as long as the bar of soap (about as long as her finger) and she soaked them in warm water until they were soft and slimy on the outside, then pushed them all the way into my bum and squeezed my buttocks together tightly, forcing me to hold them in for 15 minutes which she timed using a kitchen timer before letting me try to poop. BOY! Did those things ever make my rectum burn inside and when she let me poop I strained extra hard and usually pooped out a big load. If not it was time for a large hot soapsuds enema with enough Ivory soap stirred into the water to make the water milky coloured with a thick layer of suds on top. She would force me to hold in the enema for 5 minutes and if that still didn't make me poop enough to satisfy her she would give me another even soapier enema and force me to hold it in for 10 minutes. That never failed to clean everything out of my bowels. Then it was a dose of Feen-a-mint or Ex-Lax at bedtime that night to make sure I didn't get constipated again.

Be very carefull with soap. You can do long term harm. This is also very detrimental to your hemorrhoids and anus. You will truly regret this later in life!

I found out many years ago that my anal scpincter is quite sensitive to the burning effect of any substance with a soap element. Bar soap, shampoo etc. It's not for my ass!

Thank you all for your replies. As some of you stated, yeah, WAY too much soap in the SSE. I'll be giving myself a break for at least a week but already everything seems to have returned to normal so I'm hopeful this will end up being one of those karma-free life lessons to learn a bit about moderation.

I am quite jealous that it seems I'm the odd one for not having a reaction to the soap sticks, but, once I decide to try again, I'll give it another go (while respecting my limits 😉). It's also very interesting to hear from the other side of those finding soap solely distressful.

Part of the reason I think I was drawn to the soap is that, as a... well I was going to say "stupid" teenager, but clearly I still have a lot of stupid in me, so stupider teenager, I used soap many times as a lube for ass play just because it was the only slippery thing I had on hand. Little did I know, like with the suds last night, what else I was doing! Moderation, education, and luck all go along way, but it's certainly time to stop relying on the last one.

Maybe for now, other than the soap sticks, I will just stick to store bought suppositories, but I would like to try making my own someday. The problem is that the recipes for them are drastically different and often contradictory, even those on this forum. And that's how I got into trouble with the SSE! I'd love to know if anyone has any recent experience making their own, either out of glycerin or cocoa butter or anything else.
