As a guy have you ever been to obgyn?

I did, but not for me (obviously). This was for my twin sister and it was when we were older like 16. I wasn’t actually in the room with her but I remember she was so scared of her first visit and I was there with my father sitting in the chair right outside the room. She was actually very calm after and said it wasn’t that bad.

Several times with my wife. Back when she was pregnant and later in life for routine exams.

Only for ultrasound during pregnancy, and I think they were rather radiologists or midwives than obgyn.

Unfortunately, her first and second visit were scheduled in the summer of Covid-19, and her GYN was still not letting guests in the room, so I had to wait in the car.

I made her send me photos of her in the room in her gown, though!

I attended my girlfriend's colposcopy because she was very worried. For me there was nothing erotic during the visit. However, after returning home and thinking about the situation, we both found it exciting.

I found out I needed a school physical for my second year of trade school very close to the cutoff date to re-enroll and I was desperate to get one or I was screwed. I had thought that one for the first year was all that was needed. I was living in a small town with few choices. I just started down the list of doctors in the phone book (remember those?). I finally found one that would do it in time to give it to the school. I didn't ask questions and it wouldn't have mattered. I was in a desperate situation. I realized what I had done when I went in for the doctors appointment and sat in a room with a lot of pregnant women with their urine samples. The doctor was female and I think she was feeling as awkward as I was during the exam. The job got done and I got re-enrolled. I am thankful that she did it.

When my sister was pregnant during the 80’s, her gynecologist suggested that all immediate family members come to his office to have their blood drawn to determine blood type, in the event that she needed a C-section, and required a safe blood supply. I was the only one who stepped up to the plate. To make matters worse, the stupid nurse could have done a finger stick, but she claimed that they only had needles and syringes. It was a very painful blood draw, which caused severe bruising for a couple of weeks. She was very incompetent. Add to that, the office staff misplaced my blood vials, and asked me to return for another test. I refused. On my way out of the office, a few of the women were giggling at me, and made comments under their breath that I was there for a paternity test!

You are a very lucky guy: a metfet guy with a pregnant wife who is happy to share her experience. Is your wife into medfet as well?

I went to all visits with my ex. Even got to see the insemination of my 2 kids. Got to push the plunger on the syringe for my 2nd kid.

Guy checks in at the front desk and sits down at in the waiting room. Much time passes and he comes back to the desk asking why they haven't called him to see the doctor.

Patient: "Of Course. Regular dental check. I had a 10 AM appointment.

Susan: Dr Gregory is on the next block. This is the office of Dr. Emily Olsen. We're an OB-GYN office. When you checked in I thought you were checking in that you were waiting for one of our patients!

When my wife and I decided to start a family, we had trouble getting pregnant. Eventually, my wife made an appointment with her ob/gyn to figure out if there was a problem. I can't remember if the office suggested that I come to the appointment, or my wife thought I should be there, or if she just wanted me there. I remember being both nervous and really excited at the possibilities of this appointment.

I sat in the waiting room while she was called back and given an exam. When she was done with that and dressed, she came out and got me and we met with the doctor in her office. She said there was not anything obviously wrong with my wife, and that the next step is that I should have my sperm tested and possibly a physical exam to check me out. She said that if I didn't have a doctor to go to that she could examine me as she was trained in both male and female reproductive health. I was so surprised and embarrassed and excited at the thought of this female ob/gyn examining me in her exam room. Oh, the thoughts running through my mind...

We were to use the lab in her office building for the sperm sample testing, so we stopped there on our way out to get the supplies and instructions. I was soooo embarrassed during all of that, but not nearly as embarrassed as I was to drop off my sample. My sample ended up being just fine, so I never got an exam from her or any other doctor.

When we did finally get pregnant, I went with my wife to most of her appointments because we were both really excited about the whole pregnancy. By luck, when we went to the first appointment, my wife happened to be due for her annual. So the doctor went ahead and gave her a complete exam with me sitting in the exam room. I was in heaven and rock hard the entire time. It was a dream come true for this medfet aficionado. My chair faced the exam table at about midpoint, so it wasn't the best view, but I'm not complaining.

For both of my wife's pregnancies, I went to many exams and appointments. The bests were that first one with the complete exam, and multiple ultrasound appointments that included the transvaginal wand. Those were always nice to see.

I don't think either one of us was expecting the doctor to do a breast exam and full pelvic exam before getting to the ultrasound. And when the nurse couldnfind the heartbeat with the transducer on my wife's belly, the doctor came back in and did a transvaginal ultrasound.

That was almost 25 years ago and still fuels a lot of fantasies.

Wondering if the dentist moved to a new office. The office my doctor moved to when he went independent years ago is now a dental office. He moved to a new location years later when he gave up being independent and joined a new medical group. However, I received several notices that he was moving.

Yes, I went with a gf when she wanted an IUD and fast forward went with my wife several times during her pregnancies and with another family member.

I wasn't able to go for our first born because of where i worked, but for our second, i was able to goto all of them. I remember sitting in the waiting room when she got called for section 2 ( take weight and blood pressure). Usually you go back to the waiting room after that, but my wife came to get me because she new I wanted to see the exam...and it was worth it. Didn't get to see a breast exam, but got to see her with nothing on below the waist with her feet in the stirups!!! Went many times, but never when she wasn't pregnant.

The first time I went was at the suggestion of my wife. She has very lumpy breasts so when I told her that I could not tell if she had an abnormality when doing a breast exam, she suggested that I go with her to her yearly exam. I went and the doctor was very patient with me and showed me how I should perform an exam on my wife and what to feel for. Since then, I went to all her Gyn exams until she aged out of them - which is a whole other topic of discussion (she still uses her vagina, but doctors no longer believe there is a need to make sure everything is in good condition down there). It was always the luck of the draw as to wither my chair was next to the exam table or at the end.

I go with her to the gynecologist every time my wife goes for annual check-ups, it has already happened once that the doctor wanted to see her again six months later because she felt that something was not right. It turned out to be a false alarm; everything was fine.

I know this is for the men in this group. But when I worked for an OB/GYN (yes I am a nurse and I am a woman) I saw many men come in with their wives/girlfriends etc.. When I say etc. I mean daughters, neighbors. Yes, men would get their neighbors pregnant or suspect them to be pregnant. Yes, men would come in with their daughters. Yes, we had a few single fathers whose daughters got pregnant and the sperm donor skipped town. We had a few single men who would bring their daughters in. It never bothered us unless the DNA test came back that the father was the parent. We would see wives actually yanking on their husbands and boyfriends to come in with them. Some men would be bright red. Some would feel faint. Some would faint if they were at the hospital during birth.

Yes, I went with a few of my Ex’s. It always made me fascinated how different they were when they went. My first Ex would always be embarrassed and I’d comfort her. She would always want to nurse to fully explain step by step what would happen so that was definitely hard not to pop a boner in those moments. My second Ex would have the gown open in the front and chit chat with the doctor. She was a very open person. She even asked her doctor to check her rectum while in the stirrups. (she was having some pain and wanted to know what was going on.) That was DEFINITELY an exciting experience to witness! My third Ex knew about my Medfet kink and would tease me! She’d let me sit at the foot of the exam table so I could get a great view of the show! She’d pose for me while she was naked under the white sheet they’d give her to cover up.

It was interesting because sometimes the girls would be given a gown to change into and other times they’d just be given a sheet. My first Ex would have both a gown and sheet. I’m very grateful for being able to witness such intimate exams with a bunch of beautiful women.

Several times accompanying my partners. What is not obvious is that I also had an examination from an obstetrician during my middle high school final year. Local school of Obstetrics organized a series of meetings on reproductive health I partecipated to. Final day was done in the local clinic. They explained the main aim of their medical profession was caring of reproductive health in both genders. I remember when they finished with females they started with male students and when it was my turn I had an examination by an old female obstetrician in a small medical room. She made me undress and place on stirrups. She understand immediately I was terribly embarassed and limited the manual contact as much as possible. She checked the area between my anus and scrotum, palpated my testicles accurately and carefully retracted my prepuce to see the glans. It was very different from my previous painful and harsh pediatricians examinations and knowing her hands were accostumed to daily examinate females makes something weird to the procedure. I often masturbated thinking to that experience and feel sad knowing she retired a few month after my examination.

I keep seeing the first post - "I did but not for me (obviously)" and raising an eyebrow at the "obviously" part. I've been the obgyn as a guy lots of times, and yup, for me. I'm trans so some of my anatomy is still in their area of expertise. Surprisingly little difference attending as a guy vs while presenting as a woman. Other patients are too busy worrying about their own stuff to notice or care, and the staff & doc know the situation and it's not that uncommon.

@gynojames I’m happy to share more. I interned at a small local hospital and clinic in a South American country while studying public health and Spanish abroad. My focus was in sexual and reproductive health and I assumed I would just be analyzing data and looking how at how the administration responded to things like teen pregnancy and STI rates in the population.

However, I was quickly placed in a shadowing position in the actual office. It was very fun because in this country, medical school was a 5-year affair that ended in residency so at 21 years old at the time, most of the women I was working with were only 2-4 years older than me.

We would see women from the community all day long, testing them for STIs and giving general Pap smears, conducting well woman visits, and implanting birth control. We would also see many pregnant women and girls throughout their pregnancies and talked them through what they needed to know and do to have the best outcomes. In rare cases, I would help remove implant birth control and I even helped attend a birth at one point.

Outside of work, I would party and get lunch with my female coworkers every day and they even set me up with a colleague in the dentistry department of the hospital. I learned a lot of Spanish and all about women’s health and certain gynecological procedures like paps and pelvic exams. The hospital was in a beautiful country town surrounded by mountains on all sides. It was a wonderful 6 weeks.
