If I'm not mistaken, all hook and loop diapers are cloth like backing. I do not like cloth like diapers, they tend to seep through the outer backing.
They are not as strong as plastic backing for an active lifestyle. They tend to stretch and tear leading to leaks, and sagging. I've also had problems with the tabs popping off.
I use premium plastic backing disposable diapers 95% of the time wearing 24/7. I also don't mess in my diapers intentionally.
The diapers I use have four refastenable tape tabs, two on both sides. When putting on a fresh diaper, I fit it to a snug fit.
If a bowel movement is needed, and my diaper isn't wet. I unfasten the top two tape taps, and slide the diaper down enough to expell.
After expelling the bowel movement, I pull the diaper back up, readjust the front side panels. Then retape the top two tabs.
I've had very good luck doing it this way without ruining the diaper. Now if the diaper was close to being changed then I would just put on a fresh diaper.
My lifestyle is very active, especially at work of crawling, climbing and bending over. Cloth like diapers don't hold up being this active.
The premium plastic backing disposable diapers don't stretch, tear, tape taps popping off, and it's very rare to leak.
I use mainly Northshore Megamax and Rearz Maga ABDL printed diapers. Of course they are all plastic backing disposable diapers.
Having a routine if possible of changing diapers and bowel movements at the same time is key for myself. My routine is bowel movement, shower, then rediapered pretty much every day at around 6 am and pm.
This is what works best for my incontinence active lifestyle. I hope this helps you for your diaper wearing experience.
