I think I've tried a lot of things in my enema life. And like fashion, preferences often changed.
When my big journey began, rubber, latex, enamel, glass and Bakelite were the predominant materials. If you pressed your nose in drugstore windows, red was the dominant color, interspersed with black nozzles, amber-colored latex, white enamels or glass syringes; As I said, red was dominant.
The time came when you realized that you were going back to the “old” things. When reading many posts from predominantly older members, similar attitudes emerged. And that's no coincidence.
The sight of bulging amber-colored latex bags excited me, even today. Unfortunately, their lifespan is quite short. They tend to crack at the hanging loops. The bags themselves also quickly gave in to signs of age.
The old red rubber proved to be very durable. I have a box filled with all kinds of bags, a cupboard full of rubber bulbs. When you open it, it still gives off the smell I love so much.
Newer, more modern materials may represent modernity, but for me these in no way replace the old rubber...
