I believe that many of us have shared our early introductions to enemas, suppositories, and rectal temps, in many of the threads here. I suppose that we began "learning about enemas" from our earliest recollections of being on the receiving end. In my case, my older sister even recalled some events when I was being toilet trained beyond my earliest memories.
Thus, my "learning" started about 70 years ago. In the "Golden Years", enemas were far more common and acceptable as a therapeutic modality for a plethora of conditions. They also became a preventative or pre-emptive effort to avoid challenging circumstances medically or naturally (BM's!). My mom and grandma, and the family doctors or nurses, supported, administered, prescribed, and advocated for their use. Consequently, just about every item of rubber composition existed in our home or apartment. An enema/douche bag was ever present and often hanging to dry.
There were numerous health and medical texts around the house, and available in the libraries, to allow for us kids to explore the why's and wherefor"s that we received enemas and other treatments. On many occasions, we were privy to the adult discussions that were very enlightening. If we dared to ask, we had explanations as to why they were given in many situations at home, in a clinic or hospital, or even at the neighbor's ( our friends).
I've always believed that my enema expertise and enjoyment began very young. Thank goodness any guilt feelings were overcome when it was openly published that so many of you, and others, seemed to have this unique (?) or unusual attraction as well. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
